Now we are talking ! This was my 2nd go around with trying to not have to spend $$$ on a OEM Handle. 1st piece of garbage was laughable. You could not even open the gate it was so fragile.This Handle is very good quality considering its a copy. Not as strong as the Stock OEM handle but shes solid. There is a weak soft feel to the right part of the handle so Ill just open it slowly and with 2 hands.Been in for about 2 weeks no issue.Not sure how it will hold up in Sub Zero temps ?????? That will be my test.AloHA

I generally go with Toyota parts on my Tundra but It was hard to justify around $85 for the OEM handle. My original failed because the moving parts in the handle itself were rusty and nearly seized up- finally broke. I knew I should have taken it apart and addressed the increasingly difficult to open tailgate.I applied grease to the new handle in those areas that move and also lubed up the latches in the tailgate while I had it apart. It's been working good for almost a year now.

It's been about a week but have been pretty happy with this. The install is on a 2011 Tundra and was pretty straightforward. I did WD-40 the connecting rods and cleaned up the lock before reinstalling. I may go back and grease it up a bit but it seems to work well. It looks as well built as the factory so expect some decent wear out of this one. I got about 7 years out of the factory.If needed there is a youtube video out there for replacing the tailgate handle on the Tundra.

This was very easy to install and anyone can do it by looking up a YouTube video. Once installed, it would only operate using 2 hands which won't work for a lot of real world situations. The problem is that the plastic is too flimsy. When operating with 1 hand, the plastic handle flexes too much and won't trigger the opening mechanism. I can't imagine this lasting more than 6 months of normal use....definitely not through a winter in the northern states. Not worth the time or money of replacing it once or twice a year.

This thing fit PERFECT! Good quality too. Even if it breaks 6 months from now and I have to get another one, it's better then paying $150 for the Toyota version of plastic. Stop looking and just buy this one if you have the same year truck as I do.

Sturdy, thick plastic handle. Bolts on easily. Snaps onto rods with little effort. Gingerly snapped off the old snapons in case I needed them. Best if snapons are warm and wiggle them until they snapon. Don't force. Changed the key lock from the broken handle. Very Important: Lubricate plungers on both sides of tailgate with 3in1, WD40, similar oil to free up any rust and resistance. Works Great!

This saved us a lot of money. My husband is not really mechanically inclined, but he fixed our tailgate without any problems. The youtube video really helped and the part works great!

perfect feat , installed in minutes , do not need manuals, all clicks in in placemy was shipped in plastic package, not in the box as shown but did not make any issuesdid not felt cheep or flimsymy oem last for over 9 years

Easy install order showed up fast. 2 bolts wires clip in. 8 screws to access handle assembly.UPDATE **Lasted a year and snapped off, however reached out to their impeccable customer service and was issued a refund to repurchase, 4 stars for inconvenience only**

I watched a YouTube video on how to install. Then installed it and it fit perfectly. Amazon should pay people for legitimate videos that accompany a products “how to remove and replace”. The video was very helpful.
