The best Kindle Edition of a Classicm Revealed Apocryphal Christian literature.
A Technical Note for the Kindle edition of this book:Highly recommended - The Table of Contents is nicely detailed,There is a very informative chapter about Levi Dowling, and a chapter written by his wife as well.Even if you don't believe in, or are wary of "channeled" matter - I hope you will consider reading this book with the focus on the value of the contents. IMHO, these relatively newly revealed apocryphal scriptural stories of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ are well worth reading.Having read this book a number of times, I am very pleased and grateful to have the well done Kindle edition, as well as this edition in paperback. This edition is as close to the original published in 1906, with only minor punctuation and verbiage updated and standardised for clarity.I am aware that some folks are under the impression that the book was originally published posthumously ... this is incorrect: yhevfirst publication was in 1908, and Levi passed in 1911..Spiritually: for many, this book is a Revelation of Jesus more substantial, and with far greater mystical depth than those of the Biblical Gospels. In my humble opinion, it is these factors that largely contribute to the sense of this book as true Revelation. The foundation this book lays is the thread of unveiling mysteries-revealed ... and creates within many, including myself, transformative experuence of real relationship of us little humans and God Himself.Allegorical Truth? Yes! History? Absolutely! Was Levi H. Dowling a madman? You bet! He was absolutely mad over God!May your life be blessed by the Jesus Who awaits our Love, Faith, Trust, and beauty so wonderously present in the pages of thus Gospel!

Jesus Reimagined
This gospel, the longest account of Jesus’ life ever published, is not for those without supernatural beliefs beyond our three-dimensional world. Those who have faith in only what is detectable by human senses or what is measurable will not understand these words. The author, Levi H. Dowling (1844-1911), accessed the Akashic Records that exist on a nonphysical plane and contain a collection of everything that has occurred in the past, and hold all possibilities for the future. The Aquarian Gospel is Levi’s memories of Jesus during his past life at this time, including the so-called “New Testament lost years” between Jesus’ ages 12 and 30. Obviously, during this past life Levi was either a disciple or devoted follower of The Christ. After the birth of Jesus and his consecration at forty days, magians in Persia that could read the language of the stars divine the birth of a master soul born, with his star above Jerusalem. Three priests hasten to the West with gifts for the messiah. After the magians inform Herod, the ruler of Israel, of their pilgrimage, he directs his guards to kill both Jesus and his harbinger, John, by killing all male children in Bethlehem under two years old. Mary, Joseph, and Elizabeth (John’s mother) flee with their new-born sons to Egypt, where they meet the seer’s Elihu and Salome in the city of Zoan. For three years, Mary, Joseph, and Elizabeth attend lessons on ancient wisdom in order to prepare for the new “age of soul” to be opened by John and Jesus. Elihu says, “Teach them that God and man were one; but that through carnal thoughts and words and deeds, man tore himself away from God. The only savior of the world is love, and Jesus . . . comes to manifest that love to men.” By living purity and love, like the future Jesus, man will also be one with God. Salome explains, “today the words of man may have the greatest power; tomorrow the woman teaches best.”At seven years old, Jesus is asked by a rabbi, which is the greatest of the Ten Commandments? Jesus replies, “I do not see a greatest of the Ten Commandments. I see a golden cord that runs through all Ten Commands that binds them fast and makes them one. This cord is love, and it belongs to every word of all the Ten Commandments.”A prince of India visiting Jerusalem invites the twelve year-old Jesus to his country. Thus begins his 18-year odyssey to India, Tibet, Persia, Assyria, Greece, and Egypt.Jesus tells an Indian prince, “Salvation is a ladder of three steps reaching from the heart of man to the heart of God.” The first step is belief, what man thinks perhaps is truth. Faith is next, what man knows is truth. The last step is fruition; man himself is truth, when he and God are one.At Ladakh, a woman brings her dying son to Jesus, who tells the woman “your faith has saved your son.” Then many people present their sick and all are healed by Jesus. When 24 years old, Jesus at Persepolis is told by Persian priests that good and evil spirits created the universe. Jesus refutes this hypothesis, saying that everything that comes from God and the creative seven spirits is good, but man’s free will allows him to combine God’s good things in a multitude of ways, and “every day he makes discordant sounds, and evil things.” Thus, since man created evil, only he can dissipate it. Near Persepolis, people believe that a flowing spring heals people on one specific day every year. Jesus asks why God would bless the water one day, and then take away his blessing for a year. “Faith is the healing power of every drop of all the waters of this spring. He who believes with all his heart that he will be made whole by washing in this fount will be made whole when he has washed; and he may wash at any time.”In Egypt, Jesus seeks admission to the temple of sacred brotherhood in Heliopolis. The hierophant asks him why he, one who owns the wisdom of the gods, wants wisdom in the halls of men. He explains that he wants to understand man’s sufferings, the disappointments and temptations of his brother man, so he may minister to their needs. Jesus takes the oath of secret brotherhood and proceeds through seven tests proving he can overcome temptations to sustain sincerity, justice, faith, philanthropy, heroism, love divine, and The Christ. The hierophant declares him The Christ, a master mind, and sends him onward to preach good will to men and peace on earth. The lectures of Jesus include Hindu and Buddhist beliefs regarding reincarnation. In Lahore, a wandering band of uncouth children of the wilderness sing rich and delicate music. Jesus questions the source of their talent, which could not be developed in one short life. He declares there are no prodigies since all things result from natural law, and these people are not young, they mastered harmony ten thousand years ago and over many lives learned the melody of birds. In Egypt, when entranced by a woman with such beauty he had never seen, Jesus’ soul stirs with longing for carnal love, but he says “the world is craving for a love that I have come to manifest, I must bid you go; but we will meet again; our ways on earth will not be cast apart.” During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus defines marriage as not required by a priest or officer, but a love, from the power of God that binds two souls making them one, which is impossible to dissolve by earthly powers. “The bodies may be forced apart by man or death for just a little time; but they will meet again.”As the end of Jesus’ days on earth approaches, the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate tells him, “I have observed your works and words three years and more. I have often stood in your defense when your own countrymen would fain have stoned you as a criminal.” He warns Jesus that the Jewish priests, scribes, and Pharisees demand his crucifixion, and suggests his escape to the border, “I have a little band of guards, well horsed and armed, and they will take you out beyond the reach of harm.” Jesus declines, saying “The coward flees when danger comes; but he who comes to seek and save the lost must give his life in willing sacrifice for those he comes to save.”After his crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus appears to his disciples, who cower in fear of this phantom, but he assures them that he has indeed risen from the dead just as he had often predicted. Then he asks the disciples to step forward to touch his hands, feet, and head, and they are amazed. He then appears in the flesh before the Jewish priests and seers across the world with the message “what I did all men shall do.”Levi presents a compelling superstition of the Jews that may explain why priests and ministers today say that Jesus died for our sins, which is never mentioned in this gospel. Levi states that the Jews “have a faith that they have borrowed from the idol worshippers of other lands, that at the end of every year, they may heap all their sins upon the head of some man set apart to bear their sins.” This man is a scapegoat for everyone, and they believe that when they drive him into the wilderness or foreign lands, their sins are removed. Every spring this scapegoat is chosen from among prisoners in Israeli prisons.

This book is amazing!
The Aquarian Gospel is like a collection of what I've been studying within me for my entire life. I feel flooded with the wisdom of the Triune and feel the gift of life. I love this book! I have been underlining all of it! I'm going to read this all the time now, in addition to the Bible and other holy writ. SUPER INCLUSIVE information that is making a huge difference in the way I am looking at life. It's like being re-coded. In a great way! I am understanding Jesus in a whole new way, as well as the Masculine and Feminine Divine. BEAUTIFUL!!

Truly the most incredible story of all-time.
I already had an older printing of this book in my personal library, but it's half a century old now, and more than ready for being "retired" to an archive, rather than "replaced" by this new copy I recently ordered. This new book is a great piece of quality workmanship, I am quite pleased with the product I received. Honestly, I've spent my life reading and and learning from this version of Jesus' story, and I can tell you, it's not just another one of those "lost gospels", or anything like that. It's merely a genuine testimony from a well-intended believer named Levi Dowling whose own story is also amazing in itself. This particular book, A.K.A. "the New Age gospel"(informally), is a very important piece of literature, one that is often misjudged, misunderstood, and mistaken for something else-- just like the person that the story is all about. I only wish someone with clout in showbiz would dare to make a major movie production(or a trilogy) out of this particular story, cuz this story of Jesus' life really is an amazing story for anyone to hear and learn from. Anyone can come to love a story like this one, because when you read it yourself, you'll see that it's truly personal to Jesus himself, to live that seemingly-impossible life that he dared to suffer and endure, so that anyone in this world may find their own way in their own life, simply by following Jesus' teachings...

Recommend if you want to deepen in spiritual practice
Lifechanging. I read it bits at a time. Meditate and reflect upon it to let it soak in. Often I come back to a passage after a while and find something new that I never noticed before. One can come back to it again and again at different times and always get something more. A deep, insightful and practical guide to living a good life. This book is not just for Christians, but for all who are open-minded and appreciate timeless wisdom of all faiths.

Review of a Wonderful Book.
At first I wasn't sure if I had expected too much from this book. I was soon to find out. I hadn't finished reading theintroduction before I knew that this book was for me. If one is a seeker of the truth and looking for answers then thisreading will not disappoint. However, I can only write this review based upon my own personal opinion and beliefs. I regard this book as part of myteaching, assisting my own growth and development and speak as a spiritual person. The book is beautifully written and easy to understand. It is the type of reading that one can refer to at any time (If onlythe world could live by the examples written in this book, what a wonderful place it would be.)The travels of Jesus and his experiences throughout India filled me with wonder and great joy, especially his teachingsto the people. We learn everyday from each other through and by experience and also by coming across a treasure such as this book.I highly recommend this book to all those out there who have an interest in why we are here and what our purpose in lifereally is.If I could give it 10 stars I would.

A truly remarkable book... and a delight to read
"The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ" (by Levi) is a truly remarkable book, and a real delight to read. You wouldn't believe that it was originally published a hundred years ago.The style is strangely familiar... and so easy to read... it is as if you already "know the tune"... but have (somehow) forgotten most of the words.Just read it for yourself... and keep an open mind throughout... as this "revelation" is probably closer to the Truth than some people would wish us to believe. There is much in this life that we do not understand... but perhaps... two thousand years ago... Jesus (the Christ) was sent to tell us what it was all about (as described in the book)... but unfortunately the message got corrupted by "priests & politicians" over the next two thousand years or so. It is such a shame... just think of all the wars that have been fought in the name of religion. If only they had listened to the Truth... and allowed the people to live in peace.
