Works amazing but smells awful
I don't know what it is about this cream but it's both a miracle and a curse. It smells so foul that at first I thought it was spoiled. Have you ever had a chicken kabob skewer with Thai peanut sauce for dipping? It kind of smells like that, but almost rancid, too. It really does smell so gross that I could hardly fathom putting on my body. But I did. And believe it or not, I'm glad I did. I don't know what was going on with this... thing on my butt. I'm not going to go into details but let me say, it was so awful that I thought my only choice is either go to the hospital or urgent care, and spread my butt cheeks for some stranger to peer at, which was something I'd rather get sepsis than do... or spread this disgusting stuff on it and hope I don't get some kind of weird "food poisoning" from my mucous membranes. The embarrassment of going to the doctor is what spurred me to try it and let me tell you, this stuff is incredible! What I had going on was so terrible that I ended up soaking a small cotton pad in the ointment and keeping it held on the lesion (my my butt cheeks) 24/7 for 2 days, then multiple repetitions of application a day after the first couple of days. (Of course I changed it the round makeup pad several times a day, and of course I washed the area multiple times a day as well. It's now been about 2 weeks since this thing sprang up and every day the thing has gotten smaller and less inflamed, and it is healing. Best of all, I haven't had to show it to anybody. This is by far the most humiliating potential thing I've ever been through and I don't wish it on anyone. I will say my "thing" was external, and wasn't a fissure from what I have read about what one of those are, as there was no tunneling or connection of abscesses going on. Perhaps some kind of blocked gland/cyst that then got an infection? It was large, and fluid filled but did not smell at all, ever, if you care to know. (This is so embarrassing even writing this review.) But I'm going to post it anyway because if I can help one other person in this terrible situation, I want you to have some hope that this magical, terrible ointment might actually help you too. It's pricey, and having a cotton pad rubbed with enough ointment on it to press up against this giant lesion for weeks has caused me to have to buy a second jar but it's absolutely worth it. The secondary infection that happened with the lesion has gone away and I'm actually kind of getting used to the smell of the ointment, though I will never eat Thai peanut sauce again. My dog was super interested in the smell, fyi. I don't think other humans could smell me though. I was worried about that, I'm not going to lie. To those of you going through the same situations, I feel very sorry for you too. I wouldn't wish this on my enemy. I hope you find relief and healing as well.

It works
The ointment works. I was looking for something that won’t irritate an open wound. I needed something that could help to close the open wound because no matter how much my body tried to fight off the infection to close up the open wound, my body couldn’t fight it off. After 5 days of using the ointment, the open wound has closed up. I didn’t use 3mm as directed. I only used a small amount day by day and rubbed a small amount on the open wound. It has helped close up the wound. BUT due to a minor infection a very small corner of open wound is still opened. I’m hoping in the next couple of days the open wound will close up.

Works so far
So far, so good. I am allergic to just about anything and this has not caused irritation in the first 24 hours. I will update to see if the "pimple" actually disappears or if it gets worse. The smell is not nearly as bad as some said in their reviews. I do not have an issue with it and I have a very sensitive nose. Also, I was surprised that it comes in a 1.1oz container which is really small for the price, but then you only use a dab. So it should last for a good while. It seems to be very soothing. If this "thing" goes away, it will be worth the price. Cheaper than a doc visit!

Big mistake, don't buy. There is no relief.
I bought this out of desperation. It was such an expensive mistake. It does nothing. I'm better off without it. I've bought a lot of products for fisures lately and this was by far the worst. I don't care about smelling like a kitchen, but there was no relief at all.

Would be 5 stars if it were not for the smell!
Picked up LMNOOP Perianal Repair Ointment during a rough patch with an anal fissure, and—real talk—it helped. Within a few days the sting eased up, bathroom trips weren’t pure chaos, and the skin felt less angry overall. Texture is thick but spreadable, it doesn’t burn on contact, and a pea-size amount goes a long way. I also liked that it didn’t seem to stain clothes. Pro tip: after a warm shower, pat dry, apply a thin layer, give it a minute to set, then cotton underwear. Hydration + fiber + this = noticeable relief. Downside? The smell is unpleasant. It’s strong right out of the tube and hangs around for a bit. Not a dealbreaker for me given the relief, but it’s there. Also, this isn’t a miracle cure—great for comfort, not a substitute for seeing a doctor, especially for fistula/abscess. If you’re chasing symptom relief, it’s solid.

This product is great.
I had an anal fissure, and this worked like magic, almost instantly. TBH I only applied it once a day, and I'm feeling so much better. I also have guttate psoriasis, which had started to take over the affected area, and that has rescinded as well. I do agree with other reviews, they should change the color because it's a little too close to waste. I did not notice a bad smell, as a couple others reported.

it works
this stuff works. is it brown? yes. Does it smell unusual? maybe. But those things don't matter if you want something that works. I had purchased another natural product and used it before (which was more expensive) and it doesn't work as well as this stuff does.
