Not universal
This product sounded great and is heavy and up solid Construction however it does not and I repeat does not fit on all lever doors. It did not fit the lever doors in my building.

doesn't fit all levers
this lock only fits levers that are thin and go up and down not side to side. it's also awkward. i bought it for my autistic son when we have to stay in hotels etc. we moved to a new apartment and unfortunately the door know had a side wide lever and the lock wouldn't work. thankfully the apartment management is accommodating and changed out the door handle to a knob for me.

Great security when away
Easy to use and peace of mind. We like to rent houses or condos when we vaca and we have a dog that is family so she travels with us. We used to be apprehensive about leaving her alone because you never know who has keys to a unit. This solves that problem by making it impossible to get in using a key. We bought 2, one designed for levers and one designed for a knob handle(we were mislead that they weren't interchangeable, hence only 4 stars, but you can use the lever type on knobs). While it is nice to have two just in case, I would have only bought the lever type because it is more "universal". It wasn't said directly that a lever type couldn't be used on a knob, but there was heavy implication I needed two. A little bit of a turn off

Didnt work :(
Bought to use while we traveled with our special needs son who is an eloper. Out of the eight hotels we stayed at during our travels not one did it work for....it does work on knob style handles, but not the lever style which is what it was supposed to work for
