Bandai Hobby - Digimon - Machinedramon (Amplified), Bandai Spirits Figure-Rise Standard Model Kit

Seeing this model was an easy sell to me, however, I guess I wasn’t reading the description well enough to discover that it was actually a model kit. It’s been years since I’ve put a model kit together. Back then assembly usually involved glue, paint and crazy instructions. This snap together thing was surprisingly easy and fun. After a few steps it was assembled in a short period of time and it held together impressively well. Flexibility was also pretty impressive that the model could stand so well even without a support stand. Very satisfied. Hope to see more of these come out like MetalSeadramon and other mecha-based digimon. These model kits are an area that digimon seems to lend itself quite well to.

A figure with excellent detail, looking quite good with minimal extra work. Mugendramon has a good range of motion and solid, ratcheting joints to support his large size, allowing for a variety of poses. Some of the smaller moveable parts, such as his torso covers and the claws on his right arm simply clip onto the figure and can pop off, but these are easily reattached. I would gladly purchase again.

So takes about 4 hours if you follow the directions. Super cool, nothing but compliment. It's a big boy though, much bigger than the other models I have made. I have it in a crouched position and it still towers above the rest. My favorite Digimon and the best Digimon. Great but for me

While many models based off of a TV show can be niche in nature, this model is imposing and direct. Even people unfamiliar with digimon can readily recognize "This is an imposing robot dragon". Its imposing nature also overshadows one of its flaws- it is made of metallic injection plastic. This tends to leave clear nub marks since that is where the plastic pooled into the mold. However, this is not a small, bright white gundam kit that would make such flaws obvious. The large size and dark ton mostly obscures this issue. The real issue with construction is one of its selling points- the neck and tail use cables as support. The cables are longer than needed, and you are expected to cut them when you are done.. which gets awkward to fix when you forgot to put in a couple of the neck segments (cough). The tail is always finicky, since it ends with you putting the ends of two cables into peg holes on the tail tip. So you have to apply pressure though the length of a curved tail, and line up two holes at the same time.

There's a lot of pieces and the instructions are just ok. That said, a friend and I had a blast assembling it one afternoon. It's quite posable and arrived in pristine condition. I also hear you can paint it but the metal-looking plastic is pretty good right out of the box (once assembled) due to all the details. It's decently sized too - not too small :)

For my first kit of this size I thought it would be daunting. But no, the build was simple, the articulation and balance are amazing, and it looks good at just about any angle. Only true issues are that the stickers don't like to stay in place on his knees and that I probably cut off a bit too much wire in the tail. But that's more of a me thing.

This is a model with great detail and posing ability as well as a great new design for Machinedramon. But if you do get this, be prepared to put in the work putting it together. It's not super difficult but you need to pay attention to each detail and step of the instructions to make sure everything is in and put in the right place. I'm not a big one for models I need to put together but I was still ultimately satisfied with the experience and the end result.

dude's super, had fun building him. easy to build, including the tail. the claws on the right arm tend to pop off though so be careful not to lose any (like i almost did lmao).

Bellissima rise figure. Manuale chiaro che ti guida passo per passo nella procedura, processo di assemblaggio sicuramente lungo ma divertente, mi ci son volute circa 2 orette, i pezzi sono ben realizzati anche se la qualità lascia un po' a desiderare, l'unica parte rognosa sicuramente è stata quella dedicata all'inserimento del filo per costruire la base del collo che sorregge la testa (trattasi del classico filo conduttore grosso per dispositivi, quindi un po' rigido e un po' difficile da modellare). Per il resto il risultato finale è ottimo, bellissima figure, forse attualmente una delle migliori dedicate a questa serie.

Solid build, intuitive assembly without anything particularly complex. The only challenge one might face is with the bendy wire present in the tail and neck, as well as the neck's connection to the torso, which can require some effort. The final result is something with a presence and with solid joints. Highly approachable and equally recommended for those able to afford it.
