I just got an Oculus Quest 2 as a gift and half the time I was using it I remember thinking about the pressure on my face and how uncomfortable it was. It's nothing crazy but it's this pressure on your cheeks that I won't be able to stand for more than an hour. A coworker suggested buying this elite headset and how comfortable it was. I honestly thought its because he's bald so the other strap was uncomfortable whereas I have thick full hair, so I told him I wouldn't need it. He insisted it helped with the face pressure and to try it. So I did and he's right! After putting this on I was able to play and never once thought about the pressure on my face. It was a lot more comfortable. Btw the back knob twists and is how you adjust the headset sides... I didn't read the entire description and I'm new to nerding so I didn't realize this while first attempting to assemble, it's necessary knowledge haha. Highly recommend. Be aware if you have an existing case it might not fit anymore. The elite strap is stall and sturdy, so the standard case I got won't work, it's too tall.

Used daily for over a yearPlayed on someone’s VR before i had a VR and they had this adjustable head-strapSo when i bought a VR i bought this head-strap at the same time because i had used it for an hour or so priorAssemblyFollow instructions to put the head set together with the mounting brackets.Once mounting bracket is assembled then you can snap the head-strap into the Quest 2 VR headset attachment points.Harness connects same way original Quest 2 straps in.Took me a couple minutes to get each strap point connected because it’s a tight squeeze, you have to really work it in from one side and press and pull and bent to get fully clicked in.That being said once the strap is connected to headset it’s there for good, no need to worry about them ever coming out of harness.Removed them for the review for pictures and it’s just as hard to get them out, gotta bend them more then you think and I put some small fractures in one of the harness clips (on strap on headset), minor fractures shouldn’t be a problem with functionality. (First time i’ve taken headstrap off of VR since a little over a year of owning a VR and this Headstrap)FunctionsThe headstrap comes with a velcro strap on top that slips into a plastic anchor point on middle top of headset (between lenses) that you adjust once you have headstrap tightened and you adjust velcro to fit snug on head to prevent sagging of headset or you can pul it tight to pull the headset so more weight is on top of head.Back of the headstrap has a fabric with cushion that curves to the back of your head.Back of headstrap had a rotating knob that is used to tighten and loosen the strap, when tightening you hear the clicks but loosening seems like it just releases the tension and there is no noise except for a small pop as it releases.You have to loosen the headstrap to put on and off in my experience but it’s easy enough with a half-ish turn to open and close enough.WearingIf i wear the headset for a long time the tension on back of head will cause discomfort and the headset on face will be discomfortable so you have to adjust angle of headset so it’s on diffrent contact pressure.With this headset it’s very stable and secure on head, I can move spin look up and down with minimal movement. If i’m in a chair i can look upside down and headset will stay unless i shake head while upside down then it’s shifts a lot but haven’t had it fall off.When transporting the headset i can use the velcro strap as a holding handle or hold the back headrest with no worries of it coming apart and dropping the headset

After several days of using this I have found it very comfortable. It cradles my head well and although I do not have full contact with the strap it holds well. the cushion is soft on the head but firm enough to give good support to the headset. If you use this all day you might have more discomfort but I have used it for maybe three or four hours continuously. short coffee breaks as it is hard to drink with it on and the cup isn't replicated so its best to remove to sip your coffee or be hyper aware of your surroundings and use a straw.related to the time frame, the battery is not great. mine might have lasted two or three hours. My sessions have outlasted the battery half the time. my hour meeting today took my battery from 66% to 5% using a zoom type meeting without the vr camera. I was using a VR world room.It clips in very hard the first time you attach it to the oculus so you have to be careful. I was more concerned for the oculus sides than this headset though. It feels well made.I have had some trouble connecting to the computer but as long as you open your pc app (I am using immersed) first I have had no problems.The four star review is based on its portability. There is no case recommended for it, I bought one and found that this does not fit. If your looking to go somewhere and use this you may need to find something else to put it in other than an oculus case. I am debating what I want todo because I want to be able to travel with it but this head strap is so comfortable I don't want to give it up.
