I need to repair gasket on my 05 side by side carburetor,s fuel bowl.WILL this work?

No. You need a gas-specific product. Like:http://www.amazon.com/Permatex-29132-MotoSeal-Ultimate-Gasket/dp/B000HBGHKE/ref=pd_bxgy_263_text_y

Would you use this without a gasket, as the only gasket for rear differential cover?

It should be OK to use as the only gasket for the rear differential cover as it is recommended to be used in such fashion. I would not use it in conjunction with another gasket since it will increase the likelihood of leakage.

Will this work as a thread sealer for a rear end differential drain and filler plug?

might work but permatex makes a better product for thread sealing #59214

Is it suitable to use this for a gasket around a part that is screwed into place. For example an oil drain bolt or drain valve.

Yes. Do not plan to use it as permanent. It will last for the duration the life of the oil or until you can get a regular bolt gasket.
