Transforms my Volvo in regards to music
This product had been recommended on Volvo forums and I have to say money very well spent. Getting the radio out and back in will be your hardest job, but there are plenty of resources online to help. You should not need to disconnect Aircon or heating wires but if you do disconnect your battery first otherwise you will end up with warning messages only a code reader will be able to clear. You will need a Torx screwdriver head preferably magnetic. If you don't have magnetic ones use a pinch of blue tac in the Torx screw heads when reinserting them other wise you will likely lose them in dash if you drop them. The Bluetooth unit does feel the wrong way up compared to the DIN audio input, but it went in fine and the radio fitted back in no problems.I fitted mine to the not used 10 Cd changer input. If you have the 10 CD changer or factory fitted Sat Nav you will need to sacrifice either that or the regular CD player to free up a DIN input. You then simply select the correct audio source on the Volvo unit and pair it up via Bluetooth to your phone and you are ready to go.It now helps that Volvo Audio units were always superb sound wise as you get that same quality with this. I have used Amazon Music and it sounded great. Better still using Plexamp and selecting uncompressed in the App. If you are a Plex user don't try using the regular Plex App, as it does not let you skip tracks with this device, use the dedicated music app , Plexamp. All controls on the steering wheel work in controlling the device and I very happy with this product.

Fixed on volvo s60 2001, easy to fix and audio quality is amazing…. Better than radio transmitter.

Great product seamless intergration
Very good product which integrates seamlessly with volvo headunit. Sound quality is good & all buttons including steering wheel buttons function without any additional setup. But difficult to fit as getting original headunit out can be fiddly but overall a great product.

Beats any BT to FM transmitter. Feels OEM.
Out of sight out of mind. Works with steering wheel controls. Be careful to not disconnect your climate control or radio when installing. I didn't because I was lazy but I later found out I would've gotten a warning code if I did. You dont have to disconnect them, just some smart shifting of things. Mic doesn't work obviously because I bought one without the mic. I do wonder if I could install the mic afterwards though?Great sound quality, feels OEM. If you like your music and quality, choose this over a BT to radio transmitter.

Really worth it | Volvo S60 2003 | HU-603
Really really good. It massively improved the sound quality and it's so much more convenient compared to FM transmitters.Bluetooth just works and connects to my phone in seconds. There are no silly sounds when you connect or disconnect from the phone. It does what it's supposed to do.Installation took me only a few minutes, including the time to actually take out the radio so no need worry about that.Overall, couldn't be happier with this purchase and the music quality I'm getting for only £32.

Plug and Play doesn't get much easier than this
My 2001 Volvo V40 has the HU-605.To get to the 8-pin DIN socket on the back is relatively straight-forward: Press 2 lugs that pop out, pull out the double DIN unit and locate the DIN socket. The Bluetooth Audio Interface plugs in, what would appear to be upside down, or at least with the cable pointing upward but this keeps the wires away from dragging underneath the HU-605 as you push it back.Push the unit back in, push in the 2 lugs and turn on the unit.Bluetooth set to 'on' on iPhone, Source button turned to CD Changer on the HU, iPhone finds Bluetooth as 'BlueMagic' and off you go. Set phone volume to max and you've now taken 20 years off your HU and made it all up-to-date without any hint on the OEM dashboard. The bluetooth unit turns off the moment you change input/source and re-connects immediately you select the source again. I like the fact you're not basting in bluetooth when you're not actually using it. It's also 'off' when you turn off the whole unit and lock up for the night, so there's no current drain on the battery. So, an #epicwin!Still wondering whether I would have been wiser to go for the unit with the bluetooth mic as well which isn't much more expensive, but I figured, I'm not the sort to call and drive anyway. It's all about the music ♫

Good price, easy install and great sound.
Installed in 5 mins in 2005 V70. Much better connection and audio quality than the FM adapter it replaced, with the benefit of working steering wheel controls. Well worth the money.
