Sponeed for the win!
I am super pleased with these cycling shorts. The material feels like a high quality nylon, the padding is thick and wide and the hem on the thighs have a grip like material that holds well. I liked the first pair so much, I bought a second pair the next week. I'm 5'9" and 180 lbs. Medium fits me perfectly. I screwed up and ordered large the first time, return process was seamless. Would 100% recommend.

Great Pair of Shorts
These shorts are very comfortable and do a great job protecting the pressure points of your buttocks. The quality and workmanship are excellent. I ordered another pair the following day.

Nice shorts.
Nice shorts, well made, exactly as described. I have other Sponeed bike pants, long & short and that’s why I bought these, good product, comfortable, fit as sized. And they last.

Best shorts for the price I have found!
I ride MTB trails about 4-5 times a week and approx 55-65 miles per week. I have a tendency to wear out shorts as I ride a hard carbon saddle with no padding. I have several pairs of shorts ranging from mid $20s to $90s. Although these do not compare to high end shorts, they really put a hurt on the mid range bracket up to about $65 +/-. The fit is very good, the padding is better than just about everything I have tried under $50, Pearl Izumi included. This is actually my second pair as I have another with a different graphic design, yet same padding/construction that I've been using for about 2 months. The panels feel good in the right places and the legs have silicone to prevent riding up. If they made a solid black with just a small brand icon, they would be unbeatable. However, the colors of the graphics in the picture are pretty accurate. The yellow in these matches nicely with my O'Neil Elemental shirt (Black/Yellow/White).

These shorts were impressive!!!
I was kinda skeptical at first since I had 2 back to back century rides but after receiving them and feeling the padding, I felt more confident. These shorts held their on my 103 miles first day and then 96mi the second day. They work as good as $150 shorts.

Getting the right size
I have been using these shorts for several years-I have purchased them three times at least. My waist size is 36 and the X-Large are a good fit.

Garneau are pretty much right on for their sizes and consistent
Purchased these to hopefully find a replacement to my more expensive Louis Garneau bibs and riding shorts. First, I'm 5'10", 167lbs. I normally wear a Large to XLarge in Louis Garneau. Castelli I'm an XL. People in the review said to size up 1. So I went with a Large. I have to say, the fit is a big larger around the mid point/groin of the short than I'm used to with big brands. Castelli's run small for sure, Garneau are pretty much right on for their sizes and consistent. I should have purchased a Medium as well and returned whatever one that didn't work out. I might end up trying a different brand. First, the idea of having leg grippers made into the short leg bottom to hold them in place is about 8yr old technology. Guess I didn't read the description real well and paid attention to that, would have never bought them. No descent and respectable large brand uses leg gripper anymore. It is all compression fit at the leg bottom and they don't ride up/move around ever. So when I put these on and had the silicon leg grippers tugging and making it hard to pull the shorts up, I thought...wow, flashback to 2008 and even 1987 for that matter. Otherwise, the padding in the shorts is very good. I normally do around 40 miles on rides. These will handle that no problem. In fact, they are better that my mid-range Garneau bibs that cost 4x as much for comfort in the saddle. I road race competitively, but for training, I don't need a $250-300 kit for most of my riding. Only real complaint is they seem to run a bit big considering I'm a 32" waist, 167lbs and 5'10". And...the leg gripper ancient technology. Overall, they are descent and do the job. But will be looking for another brand and a good price and find something with compression fitting at the legs and better fit. So, I will keep them and use them for training rides, they are good enough.

GREAT!
This was my 1st try with biking shorts. I only ride singletrack mountain bike trails. I bought 2 pair of sponeed shorts; one with the blue padding and one with the yellow padding. They both work great, but I prefer the yellow padding over the blue. I think the yellow fits better and provides better cushioning, but this could be a personal preference. They both worked great and are a big improvement over shorts with no padding. I've been wearing these for a few months and have washed them after every ride. They are holding up very well, and still look new. I'll definitely buy more sponeed shorts. Great value.

Comfort isn’t as described
The fit is great, however the comfort part in the saddle did not meet the expectation of its review so a little disappointed on that front
