Quiet, Cleans Brass, Quick and Easy
This thing is pretty quiet, i was worried it would rattle or shake up the floor/carpet but its actually not that bad. Depending how much brass you put it in it, it'll just rattle for a few seconds as the brass circulates in the bowl but other than that its quiet, its a low hum, nothing alarming or annoying. You can make a soundproof box if you wanted to leave it running in a living room or so depending on your space. I also have it plugged into a timer so i just set the timer on the electrical outlet and it shuts off after like 45mins to an hour depending what i set it at. Please read the instructions. It comes with brass polish cream - Don't add your brass right away you need to prep the cleaning media. - first i filled the bowl with the agitation material/media maybe about 3/4ths the way up. - turn it on without the lid - as its vibrating add in the brass polish cream 4-5oz or so, on the bottle it says 3-4 oz for new media or 1-2 for used media - instructions say to let it run for 5 or so mins so the cleaning media is evenly coated with brass polish, i just used my hand to crush up any clumps. - After the 5 mins and no clumps - turn it off - ADD in your brass - lid, washer, wing nut, hand tight! don't crank it down just tight enough so the lid doesn't vibrate off. its a hard durable plastic but it can still break, don't crank it too tight - my brass is usually pretty clean out the rifle so i run mine for about 45mins to an hour and you'll see the results in the pictures. - the picture of the brass in the bowl is before and all the casings and such on the floor and in the containers are cleaned. - It does a VERY good job on the outside and a "good" job in the casings and flash holes. - if you want it really squeaky clean get the rotating tumbler with the metal pins and water/soap. - but its reloads I use a rotating brush to clean the inner casing and primer pockets. - tumble sifter and bucket is nice helps separate and recycle everything, id probably use the media a dozen or two times then swap it out for new cleaning media but it all comes down to how much brass youre cleaning and how dirty it is etc. Just eye ball it and change it as you would seem fit **your results may vary** - for 6.8 SPC I'm able to put about 100-150 casings in so there's enough room for everything to rotate evenly and not clank together in the media - for .45 I'm able to do 200-250 casings - for .556/.223 probably about 200 casings - for .30-06 50 about 100 casings - for .30 carbine 150 casings - 762x54R 50 casings I don't like to overfill or make it too cramped in the bowl. Overall the full kit gave me everything i needed to start off with and in the future would give me an idea what maintenance items to get or try what other people may have done to get better results by changing to a corn cleaning media or some other plant based media, different polishing cremes, and longer cleaning times. I run it almost 4-5 hours a day depending on how much brass i have to clean and then it just sits till the next time. no issues so far. happy with everything and i just set it and forget it.

Very Good Kit - Highly Recommended
This Frankford Arsenal Master Tumbler Kit is an excellent entry level tumbler and media separator kit for a beginner reloader. We are just starting to reload and wanted to start off with a reasonable setup that would get us going, but not break the bank. Here are my observations: Kit Contents - * Tumbler * Media Separator * 3Lbs of Corn Media * Polishing Fluid * 3-gallon Bucket w/Lid Tumbler Pros - + Easy to Assemble; took under 5-minutes to put together + East to Use; just add the corn media (included) and polishing fluid (included), add the dirty shells, put on the lid, and run for 30 minutes to an hour (see video) + Works Well; very pleased with the how clean the shells get + Not Too Loud; doesn't make anywhere near the noise I expected it to Tumbler Cons- - Center Post; this can vibrate loose after a few uses, but easily corrected by tightening it before each use Separator Pros - + Easy to Assemble; took under 5-minutes to put together + Easy to Use; just dump in the corn media and shells directly from the tumbler, attach the shields (optional), and give it a few turns (see video) + Works Well; does a good job at removing the cleaning media from the shells Separator Cons - - Plastic Construction; care should be taken not to stress the parts Overall, I am very happy with this kit and believe it is a fairly good value for the novice reloader. Highly Recommended! CFH

1 hour, no noise, gleaming brass, no mess, no fuss, let's get our reload ON!
I am a big fan of this Frankford Arsenal Quick-N-Easy Separator kit for brass cleaning. I read that it comes with corn cob media, so I also purchased a 5lbs container of Frankford Arsenal walnut shell media. I placed 100 38spl and 50 44 mag brass casings in the tumbler using the walnut media. I ran it for 1 hour using my phone timer, and the brass came out gleaming and begging to be reloaded for another go. I am also surprisingly amazed at how quiet this tumbler is. I set it right outside the sliding glass door to my backyard, and I could not hear it running from just 15 feet inside my home at the living room table. My phone timer alerted me that 1 hour was up, and I poured the brass and media out into the FA media Separator over the supplied bucket. I gave the cases a quick 1 minute spin to separate the media away, and the brass came out gleaming and begging to be reloaded for another go. The whole process was, "Quick-N-Easy" AND CLEAN! with no mess or fuss. I am a huge fan of this Frankford Arsenal QUICK N EASY Tumbler and Media Sparator. Fast-N-Quiet, Quik-N-Clean, how can you not love that! Awesome performance and results.

Great product
This has been a great product. The bucket is a little on the cheaper side. Though for a starting bucket it works well. Easy to use. The hold pin for the strainer basket was a tight fit until it worked in after some use. I like the media that came with the kit. Works for what I need it to.

Worth the money.
I know the price may be a warn-off for some people, how can something so reasonably priced be worthwhile, right? Well I'll be among the first to say this kit is the real deal. I wasn't expecting much for the price I was paying, but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The tumbler works very well, I have tumbled both empty cases and loaded rounds. Both came out like you would expect them to. I like the clear lid so I can check the brass while it's working. I'm still using the corncob media that came with the kit, once I wear it out I'll switch to walnut lizard bedding that you can buy at most pet stores far cheaper than buying "walnut polishing media". The media is holding up really well, but I clean my brass in an ultrasonic cleaner first. Takes the time I need to tumble down to an hour or two. I love the separator, it's great at getting the media out of the cases and hollow point bullets. The bucket catches the media and makes the whole operation quick and clean. UPDATE: Everyone speaks to how quiet this machine is. As I have no experience with any other tumbler I'll have to take their word for it. I have found a way to further dampen the sound of it, I took a length of 1/2" clear vinyl tubing and placed it over the threaded metal rod that comes up through the middle of the tumbler tub. I used 1/2" because there is a square nut at the bottom of the rod. I heated the tube so it was pliable and forced it over the nut and let it cool while holding it in place. Now when I use the tumbler it is quieter because the brass doesn't vibrate against the rod.

Great little product.
Easy to set up; great clear illustrated instructions very easy to use. Doesn’t weigh nothing, but is durable if that makes any sense, more than sturdy for the job. I put it on and went out and accidentally forgot about it come home a few hours later it was still humming away so that was a great test. Impressed for the price and swift postage and delivery. 10 out of 10 from me. I would happily recommend.

Works great to clean brass.
Works as advertised, not sure I would use 600 rounds of 9 in it, but I did overload it with 45 and let it run for 4 hours, the shells came out looking brand new. I remove the primer, wash them in a special recipe of my own making, then run them thru this thing. When I don't overload it, I run it for 1 hour and the come out super clean. I use the corn cob that came with it even tho I have 20 lbs of the crushed walnut stuff waiting to mix in. The corn works great, no complaints except you don't get a lot of it in the kit but its cheaper than dirt... The bucket and gizmo that is used to separate the brass from the corn cob once its done is a little flimsy and wobbles when you spin it but keep in mind the whole point is not to spin it too fast, which would actually prevent the brass from clearing all the cob mix, you rotate slowly back and forth and it works. I had a problem with static cling. The first batch, the corn cob stuck to the brass and the bucket itself with the brass basket became very much charged, so I put in a dryer sheet and it seemed to work, the next batch I ran thru the tumbler I added cut up pieces of dryer sheets and it seemed to help a little. Put a sheet in the separator and its all good, AFTER you run it around a few good spins and the brass is mostly separated, then add the sheet into the separator.

US spec - 120v/60hz - needs proper adapter to work.
Looks strong but ships with US spec - wrong plug and wrong voltage for UK. 120v/60hz. So needs a substantial adapter / converter to use. I

Ole Timer retiring home built coffee can tumbler after 35 + years, wife says the old furnace motor is running HOT and may catch fire in my gun room in the basement. Yep she's right .served me well from pistol to 375 rifle. My NEW vibrator KIT is really Great and on SALE. If you know reloading like I do you know CORN lubed is good for pistol 4-5 times fired. But rifle needs Walnut and treated in order to polish with what ever you decide works for you. Brasso/Nu Shine or some other more expensive stuff. Like what came with it. My local auto store supplies my blasting cabinet needs for automotive and has Crushed Walnut 18-40 . Just got a 25lb box on sale for under $20 Cn and it will last me another 35 years or someone else that cleans up my left overs. Best deal on the kit and crushed walnut. I don't care what others say this kit Is Great
