I got the model without a switch and cut off the USB connector. There are red and black wires, not too small, and were easy to add to some other circuitry. Yes, they are barely into the UV region and cast a purplish light, but they still excite things like yellow highlighter ink. I'm running them at 12 volts, but as strobe that's only on half a millisecond three times per second or so.

Living in Arizona means living with scorpions. Since scorpions glow brightly under UV light, I installed these along the bases of the bathroom cabinets to light up any unwelcome visitors during a night trip to the bathroom. I have had these on constantly for a year and the brightness level has remained constant. There has been no deterioration of the adhesive. I recommend these UV led strips.

Update * vendor shipped a replacement free of charge and refunded original purchase. Replacement in working order without defects.. These would work great for a glow cup for ice jigs. The adhesive on the back is plenty sticky and I was able to coil the strip easily. However, the solder between the end of one factory strip and the start of another was faulty, so only half the lights worked. I get it, waste is bad, but these soldered connections are going to fail nearly every time. Also the switch was not seated correctly. See pics

Used it for a Halloween costume. I love that is was trimable and it stuck well, I was as even able pull up and restock a area I messed up. When I decorate my office I plan to buy more. I ran it off a portable phone battery pack and it lasted over a hour.

Either I recieved the wrong item or this is a scam. It in no way registers as any form of UV. Not 365nm, 395nm, like it claims, hell not even 320nm. Just low, very light purple light that does nothing but emit a low, very light purple color. Please save your money and look elsewhere. **UPDATE** So the seller contacts me and in one of the most condescending and patronizing messages I have ever recieved from on of these AMAZON sellers, tells me I'm wrong, that there product works flawlessly and tells me how what they sell is a 390-400nm UV/Blacklight and I just don't know anything. I grew up with blacklights, I still use blacklights and have ALOT of UV reactive paint, posters, contacts, PC coolant and more fluorescents. I know what it looks like when phosphors react to the radiation from the UV wave length. Yes the UV wavelength is invisible but it still reacts to certain fluorescents and phosphors. The item I recieved did nothing except emit a light purple/violet colored light. Period. To have this seller tell me that i'm stupid and their product, the one sent to me not what they sell as a whole, works flawlessly and I just don't understand what I purchased is disrespectful and uncalled for. No apologies, no what can we do to help, NOTHING!

Purchased for my sister's dance studio office desk. Beautiful color, strong sticky adhesive and worked without an issue.
