I really love this one it works much better than the Roku stickWould recommend

Bought to replace Roku express in sunroom which had terrible signal strength. The Ultra works great and solved our weak signal issue! Picture quality is hugely improved and crystal clear now.

Great picture and having the ethernet port means solid connection when WiFi is poor.

Works good. Easy to use and install.

We decided to cut the cable in July 2020, I did a lot of research in to what was the best streaming system for the lowest possible cost. I read many reviews on Amazon, Cnet, Consumers' Reports etc. Just about any ware I could get information. While it was a hard choice the Amazon fire stick appeared to be the better bet. So I ordered 3 units with two of the Ethernet adapters. Hooked them up and proceeded to add the streaming services we had chosen to replace the channels from Uverse. This is where the problems started occurring there were a number of freezing's, drop outs, and lost signals. I attributed this to weak wifi signals and poor routers. I replaced the routers with no improvement, followed a U tube suggesting about tuning the Firesticks and upgrading the cabling (had cat 5) this improved the issues but did not completely stop them. We enjoy letting OA News to play in the background as we go about our activities, the show would stop and we could not get it running again. One of the suggestions was to unplug the FIrestick to allow the capacitors to cool. This allowed use to restart the program. I also replaced the supplied power supply with a 2 amp unit, this improved performance another notch. Some of the stoppages were removed but there were still a lot. I could not watch Hulu because of the stoppages. Frustrated I decided to try a Roku streaming stick + , once plugged in and set up the streaming services acted as I thought they were supposed to No stoppages, no lost signal beautiful picture. I tried this on a different TV and still had the same results. I than ordered a Roku Ultra LT because I liked the idea I could use the Ethernet. This also worked out well, I was able to stream Hulu without any stoppages. If I could I would return the worthless Firesticks but I am beyond the return window. I would not recommend the Fire TV Stick. I would recommend the Roku line of streaming devices.

I should've been more careful, but I didn't notice this model doeznt have a usb port, being more concerned with it having an ethernet port.Otherwise, it works fine, very responsive, take full advantage of high speed gigabit ethernet.

I can spare neighbors my noise, get rid of bulky universal remote, control TV on/off & volume, enjoy beautiful aquarium screen saver, + ALL Roku commands (earphone AND TV volume, move/remove channels, voice commands, instant channels, replay—ALL) with just the compact Roku remote. Tolerates weak batteries. My Roku 3 was dying & this is the ideal replacement. Works fine w/my meager broadband. I love it.

Bought this to use with my ancient Sony XBR-52 when we moved.We decided not to get "cable" and use the Roku instead.It stuttered a bit with a wi-fi connection, but works great connect to ethernet.

Bought it. After a month started to reboot all the time. Chatted on roku support. They had me factory reset it. Did not work. As you can see I bought it in May this year and registered it. I then got from Roku. Your warrantee is now over and they stopped talking with me. It is not even 3 months old yet Not impressed at all

I've had this Roku box for about a week. And I liked it. However, the remote control pushing the power button to turn off the TV, my TV would come back on every single time. I had to use my TV remote. Or in the middle of watching something and it goes back to the home screen and I have to start the app all over again. And there's a few Hang-Ups while watching something as well. Again I like the way it looks and feels when using it but I do not recommend this. And the tech support asked for order number so I gave it to them and they're saying that they can't find it so I contacted Amazon and allowed me to have a refund and return the item.

I try to use this unit and it will randomly go to another screen, It is like it is responding to random commands from the the remote control. The remote is in plain sight and untouched. It is very annoying. I had to disable the 1-touch play because my TV would switch to it when I didn't want it to. I hate this unit. My old Roku was a lot better. This one is garbage.

The system operates off 12V so there is no option with the main box to have it shut-down completely when the TV is off. As a result, even if you use the remote to turn off the Roku, you can hear in headphones connected to the remote that the remote turns off... but about 5 seconds later the remote turns back on (you can hear hiss in the headphones) even though the TV and Roku main unit is supposedly off. Seems to be a bug in the remote-control software that you have to remove the batteries or unplug the headphones when the remote is not in use. Otherwise it just keeps itself on.

Bought this a few months back and have a bit of a laundry list of complaints. The biggest of which is that over time it would increasingly kick me out of my program while I was watching it and revert back to the home screen, on various apps that should be pretty standard on a device like this (Netflix, Prime, Disney+). All of the support channels I could find have numerous instances of various people with the same problems, but the troubleshooting steps they've given have been largely unhelpful, and from what I can glean from the support forums this has been a bug for over a year and a half with no fix in sight.There are a couple other minor grievances I had with the device but that I was willing to live with - for such a vast library of apps available there were some that I would have liked to have access to, particularly in the Canadian Market - CBC Gem, Sportsnet Now, FXNow to name a few, and it seems frustrating that those aren't available for Roku. The other thing that bothered me was that the device didn't seem to have a proper "sleep" mode (nor even an option to power it down when I was finished) and so if I watched a show and fell asleep during it, when I wake up the television is still on - I could use a third party "blank screen" screensaver so the TV was black, but it would still be outputting signal to the HDMI cable so the TV wouldn't actually turn off after idling.Anyway, stepping away from the Roku ecosphere for all these reasons now. Very disappointed since I spent the extra money for a more robust version that wasn't just an HDMI stick so I could use the hardwire ethernet and it failed out shortly after the warranty ran out. Not interested in trying again with this company.
