Less of a play set but durable enough to be one for older kids. Nice detail on all parts, no flash, good craftsmanship for a factory-produced set. Sure its higher priced than plastic army men, but these are diorama-quality pieces that are a lot of fun to play with and great for living room floor battles.

I have bought my son a set of these army men for various holidays for the last few years and they have held up well to gentle play. I expect this set to be no different. The things that my son likes about them are the detail and the extras (sand bags, barrels, boxes, etc. that come with these sets. Some of the accessories have been really surprising, and have ranged from sheep to saw horses, bicycles, hand carts, and of course barbed wire, ammo boxes, sand bags, brick walls, and machine guns. The figures all come with pegged foot stands, but are generally not necessary to stand the figures.
