Q: Are these shoes really lightweight for airline travel ?

Yes they are lightweight and a comfortable shoe would be great for travelling

Q: There are two pictures of the black shoes. One had a black sole and the other has a gray sole. Which shoe would I get if I order black?

Well, they are DEFINITELY TWO different black shoes. They are both listed as black. One says "black" and one says "black/black/black". I was wanting the one with the gray sole. It appeard to be soft pebble like leather and it was what I wanted for my husband. What came looked nothing like that picture and doesn't really even look like leather - it is very smooth and looks like plastic to me. It also had little areas that were a fabric inset. I looked again at the listing and realized there were two different "black" shoes in the color choices and thought maybe they had just accidentally sent the wrong ones - so I ordered them again - the "black" - NOT the "black/black/black". I ended up with the same thing I received the first time around. My husband didn't like them and they still look like plastic to me. I loved the look of the soft pebble leather ones with the lighter gray sole - but it sure isn't what we received. So I was very disappointed. I think Amazon needs to remove the picture of the one shoe becasue it is very deceiving and disappointing if a person expects to receive what they see on the website. I love Amazon and this is actually the first time I've received something that was very inaccurately pictured like that. It certainly won't stop me from shopping Amazon, but it was a disappointment.
