Good bang for your buck. Quality headset at a reasonable price.
I bought this headset in 2018 on the recommendation of a Youtuber that I watch and this headset has been my main gaming headset since. It has held up well over the years, the only sign of wear and tear in in the ear cups (some of the fabric covering the muffs has torn away, very minor) but otherwise this works just as well as the day I received it. I'm far from an audio snob, but I find the audio quality to be quite good considering the price. I play a lot of atmospheric games like No Man's Sky and it sounds great. On the cord for the headset, it has its own volume control, "bass boost" button, and mic mute button. My friends can hear me clearly on Discord so the mic audio also appears to be good quality. I find the build quality to also be quite good although I am one to take good care of my electronics. The MSI emblem light ups on the ear muffs are a nice feature and still work. The mic tip also has a light signifying the mic is capturing audio. (muting the mic will turn the tip light off) I also think the headset is comfortable even in longer sessions (3 hours+). I have what I consider a larger than average head (one of the reasons it was recommended to me) and I wear glasses. After those three hours I can start to feel the pressure of my glasses against my head because of the headset, but with gaming, take regular breaks. All in all I think this is a great headset for the price if you're looking for an entry-level gaming headset that will last you quite a long time.

Sound is unreal with high bass
I bought this headset with an MSI mouse to go along with my laptop of the same brand (I liked the idea that they all were the same) and I wasn't diassapointed to spend a little extra. The most notable thing is the build quality. It has soft ear cups, hard-mean mesh outers, solid feel, hard-wearing connecting wire, lighted ear and mouthpiece and comfortable overhead strap, without those stupid clicking extenders and instead the studio wired auto-fit type. So now you know you look the business it's time to play. The driver installation takes a minute at most and you're good to go. I tested it on Battlefield 1 first and I'm so glad I did. With the Bass button clicked you instantly feel like you're part of the atmosphere. A rumbling shake happens in the headphones when there's a bomb set off nearby or the heavy movement of a tank and it alters depending on how close or heavy the sound (I've never experienced this on another headset before). The sound is crisp, clear and you definitely benefit from the surround sound. It also goes louder than you'd want it to, which I think is always important for whenever you come across something that's too quiet, so you have more wriggle room to push up the volume. The headset is comfy as your ears don't touch anything. I've been using them for a couple of hours at a time without issue and have only experienced a cut off of sound twice (which I think was more game related than headset). It's a beast to look at, but I like that too. The volume control is big and easy to use and I agree with other comments that it should have been further away from the headset as every now and then it'll fall off the table and you'll notice the weight so will have to tuck it back somewhere again. I'd definitely recommend this product to gamers or anyone who would just like a quality headset.

Unbeatable in its price range. Fight me!
Let's start by aesthetic. Black and red, the perfect match for most gaming laptops, and honestly just generically a cool looking logo if it's hanging up on your chair/table. The materials all compliment each other. The grill-like material over the glowing logo matches the solid soft-touch-like plastics, as well as the comfortable ear cups. Okay, moving to the comfort/durability. I'm a gamer so I do make good use of these. In my time of use, I've never remembered a time EXTREMELY hurting my ears or wanting to throw them off. Like all headphones, you still need to take them off after a while if you wear glasses I believe, but I don't think they'll ever feel straight up uncomfortable. The soft padding material on the top, where it touches your hair, has not deteriorated or reacted to hair's natural oils. It's still smooth, same texture and same softness. Some headphones in that area start chaffing or wearing out. No stains on the headphones, nothing seems dirty or dusty. Every moving component is still as smooth as day one. Now music quality. I'll admit, I got these for bass. When you have that feature turned on, and the bass gets to a certain level, the headphones themselves shake along with the music. It kind of tickles your entire ear and I LOVE it. In that regard. these are perfect for me. Like $40, more bass feeling than the average gaming headset, and the microphone is allegedly the BEST in its range. But I don't use it so I cannot comment further, just know that people do like these for the mic as well. Overall, a stellar purchase. Will buy more MSI accessories in the future for sure.

I'm deaf but it's all good.
As the headline will describe, they cancel out sound when you have sound coming through. Let me start with the overall design. The cord itself is pretty durable and haven't had any ripping or tearing from having it dangle from a USB port most of the time. It has a volume dial on its cord to turn the volume up and down. So turn the sound on your PC all the way up like you would and use this thing to be more helpful. On this dial there is a couple of buttons: One to turn the "vibration" from the Bass off, and one to turn the microphone off. The headphones themselves have what I can only describe, at the moment of this writing, a "cup" design that covers the entire ear. This can sometimes irritate the sides of your ears and could be due to the "vibration" from the Bass mimicking, what I can describe as, having subwoofer style bass from a car. This is quite nice but some might not like it so the aforementioned button on the volume dial can turn this off. While on the topic of the speakers, the sides of these speakers emit light in the form of the logo for MSI that comes out in a bright red color--which compliment my laptops color as well. The headphones have a stretch design that will fit any size and can even wrap around your head while wearing a hat, snapback, etc. (So, for the streamers.) That's all for the headphones themselves but included with them is software to make them really standout because without it the PC will treat them as regular headphones and the sound will be terrible. If you have a laptop with no CD drive like me, you can hop onto their website and download the utility program from there, comes with the driver. One last thing to mention is the microphone. It's pretty good and does a good job of only capturing your voice with other sounds in the room (like a fan in the summer). Definitely, really good for a headset mmicrophone and my friends online can hear me beautifully but I still wouldn't compare it to any real high quality microphone. In short, the headset is well made and I would recommend it to anyone looking for better than average headphones.

Great sound, great mic for $50!
Pros Comfortable Great mic Great sound Con Ear cups are a tad smaller for a person with bigger ears. For $50 you can't go wrong, I don't get headphone fatigue, they clamp nicely to the head, they sound amazing for $50 (theater like) and the microphone is amazing (check out reviewtechusa on YouTube he uses these headphones for his game play videos) the software is optional which is always nice, they just plugged in and worked. The only gripe I have is they're exactly the size to cover my ears so I have to adjust, my ears are medium size, so if you have bigger ears I wouldn't recommend these. Update: After using these for several hours. I do not get ear fatigue and the sound is rich and full.

Side note. For some reason when I tried to manually install drivers and set up 7.1 it bugged out.
PROS -I love that these headsets are extremely comfortable. -It's a bargain for the price. This beats other expensive a $ headsets -Theres red LED lights on the side that are pretty bright. -there Is a bass option that can be turned on with the controller, and it literally makes it seem as If your phones vibrating on your ears during bass drops and whatnot. CONS -These headsets are only good for music production if you install their msi ds502 software which allows you to turn on xear surround max (I think its called) which essentially makes your music sound clearer and louder. -This might not be a con to some, but these headsets has a long cable that Is just extra in my opinion. (But once again this might be a good thing for some people) -These headsets are particularly thick (big) so it kind of looks weird on my head 😂. (I got mines used for 10 dollars of the original price. Just make sure it's in very good to excellent condition only. Ignore the imperfection listings which can be cheaper but will come defective physically) | For those of you wondering, it is in fact 7.1 virtual surround sound | (I'm a 16 year old, please choice of words 💀)

A potentially good headset that is living in the shadow if its own shortcomings.
Overall it's a great headset. It does what a gaming headset should. It plays sound, it records your voice and it has a good amount of customization in the software. However it lacks some basic and increasingly important necessities. The ear cups are fairly shallow and your ears will get pressed against the drivers. This can cause ear fatigue within a few hours. The sound quality is really muddy and bass heavy but not in an even close to relatively good way. The EQ doesn't do much justice towards fixing this either. The drivers in this headset were a poor choice for what they were trying to accomplish with "bringing the bass to life". They should've used 50mm drivers for something like this. The weight on this headset is in the mid-range but with that the headset has zero clamp to it. The things this headset does right? It has a fantastic mic for its price and the mic i'd say is actually better than some of the $200 gaming headsets that boast they have "crystal clear communication" and "pro-grade mic quality". This headset can easily be used for streaming and recording, just make sure you make some audio filter tweaks beforehand.

Worth every penny
The DS502 gaming headset is a superior headset at a fairly modest price. It’s not cheap by any means, the quality is so good. I like that the vibration in the headset is optional but it adds a really cool element to video game experience if you use it. The surround sound is so cool to hear things as you would if you were naturally in the environment. I’m glad I bought it and I feel like most people will too if you need a gaming headset that doesn’t burn a hole in your wallet but offers a high quality microphone and booming bass. My only complaint is that after a few hours of wear, they do make my ears ache but I also have very sensitive ears. They’re still very comfortable on my head and ears otherwise.

Absolute STEAL.
The microphone quality is as good as the speakers - got these to replace my daily used Sades SA-903 which have lasted me for almost 8 years, and unfortunately, have to retired them so I replaced them with this. Sure the USB is always a bit bulky but it makes up for it in quality of both speakers and microphone. Highly recommended.
