So I went for these on I think a YouTube review. Compared with others I knew they would be a better quality. I chose a mixture of sizes to suit my use. Large ring and small ring plus two large squares if I need to take something out the oven as useless previously finding space. They look more of a light grey on the photos but are a charcoal grey and not as noticeable. Yes it was pretty much £25 each so £100 for all four purchased but I’m happy these will last. Had on high heat, seems not to have any heat loss that I’ve noticed. Perfect for my induction hob. Also makes easier to clean as they wipe down easy. Obviously need to be careful but with pan off it does recognise as no pan on the hob so cools down properly. Happy I paid the money. Suppose didn’t need all four but thought to take a tray out the oven and have a hob on at same time I can use for purpose. All hobs, no problem.

Great product and good quality. Semi hard resilient material with external silicon prevents oil 'stickiness'. Has tiny surface dimples on both sides kinda prevents scratching on hob surface too, also allows airflow. Best way to describe product is : It's hardly there after getting use to it; ie once when washing hob surface accidentally push it away not realizing its there (matt similar dark color) in first place. Works , washable too. We stir fry Asian style on high heat settings albeit fast too (<1hr continuous) and it did not melt.

Perfect. They do not interfere with the induction while my stovetop doesn't get scratched up.

I bought four mats (one 11", two 7" and one 6"). These mats are much more rigid and substantial than our previous floppy silicone mats. I believe it is the embedded fiberglass in this mat that makes it rigid. These mats look great on our new Samsung induction range cook top. These mats are comparatively expensive, but I believe they will hold up and look great for many years. (BTW - the Lazy K logo is on one side only, if you don't want to see that.) And - If you shop like I do, then the 1-star reviews are usually the first thing we read. In this case, we cannot judge this product by many/most of these 1-star reviews. Read on if you want to know more. ====== I recommend you ignore any review that claims these mats caught on fire or melted to the glass cook top (especially if the complaint states it happened upon first use). These folks do not have a functional induction cook top. Not all glass top ranges are induction. Most glass top ranges are NOT induction in fact, though induction is gaining in popularity in the US. IMPORTANT: Go through this checklist: If you: 1. Can set a cook top hob (burner) to the high setting *without* a pan on it, and 2. The glass immediately gets hot (even a little bit) and/or glows red underneath, and 3. The cook top does not give an alert/beep and shut off very quickly, then you DO NOT have an induction system. You have a conventional electric glass cook top. DO NOT buy these mats or *any other mat* for your type of cooking surface. There is only one way I can see that an induction cook top could damage these silicone mats: If you leave a *dry, empty* induction-compatible pot or skillet (especially cast iron) on this mat with the control set on high for an extended period, a mat could become discolored. (Ask me how I know) I ruined one of our previous silicone induction mats that way. That mat still works fine but it is permanently discolored. Some true induction owners did complain that the mat introduced too much distance between the cook top and the pot, so that the magnetic field was weakened. That may be so, but I think that suggests the cookware was only marginally induction-compatible to start with. So if you have the budget and also use an induction cooking surface, these are a great choice IMO.

I was in search of a suitable mat to complement my Samsung 36-inch induction cooktop. My goals were to maintain cleanliness, prevent burnt-on residue, and reduce surface heat to ensure the safety of my children. After extensive research, I ultimately opted for Lazy K mats, purchasing both the square and circular variants. They appeared to be of high quality and performed adequately. However, I did notice a delay in achieving a sizzle when cooking with pots. To investigate further, I conducted a series of simple tests, primarily focusing on the "boost" mode. In the initial trial, I used 1 liter of water, ensuring consistent starting water temperatures for each test to yield accurate results. Without the Lazy K mat, my 8" 3200W induction cooktop took 2 minutes and 36 seconds to bring the water to a boil in boost mode. With the Lazy K mat in place, it extended the time to 3 minutes and 5 seconds. These tests were repeated for accuracy, and the average times are presented here. Subsequently, I proceeded to test the Lazy K mat on the upper "Flex Zone," which operates at 2600W in boost mode. This time, I used a slightly larger quantity of water, approximately 1.5 liters. With the mat, it took 6 minutes and 12 seconds to reach a boil, while without the mat, it achieved a boil in just 4 minutes and 16 seconds. In my limited testing, it became apparent that the induction cooktop's efficiency was somewhat compromised. To quantify, it took 19% more time to reach a boil in the 1-liter test and 45% more time in the 1.5-liter test. In general, the mats are of good quality, and they've found favor with my wife. Nevertheless, I plan to return a couple of them while retaining a few. The primary reason for this is their ability to keep the glass surface from getting as hot as it would without the mats. The peace of mind that they provide in terms of heat dispersion makes them worth keeping around for us. If I had only older children, I might not use these mats at all. On the positive side, these mats are versatile enough to be used on countertops or dining tables, so even if I don't use them for the stove, they can find utility elsewhere in my kitchen.
