A large was NOT a large...
My purple pair of large professionals choice bell boots lasted over 24 weeks of 27/7 usage in which the horse was mostly in a large acerage pasture. One finally succumbed to being stepped on many times a day with the inside side wearing out. I was totally impressed that these boots saved my horse from pulling off his shoes. That being said, the new black boots (size large) thAt I received, are not even close to being a large size. In the photo you can see how different the color’s sizes are. I can’t use these at all as the Velcro will not even go around my horses hooves.

Working great for my driving pony
I have never used bell boots/overreach boots in all my 50+ years in horses because there was no need. Then, when my pony got shoes for the first time, he occasionally "clipped" so my farrier said "get bell boots". I settled on these due to good reviews. They went on easily and my pony showed no fuss when he first wore them. About a week later we went to an event a days' drive away and he wore them in the trailer. No problems! Then he wore them at the event for 3 days, including longing and driving. No problems! Then he wore them home in the trailer. No problems! They are easy to get on and off and I am very happy with them.

Worth the money
I have to give the Tack Shack an awesome review! I ordered a small chocolate pair of these, only to realize that I'd ordered a size too small for my quarter horse. I contacted the seller and they had no problems exchanging the boots for a larger size, even while knowing I'd removed the tags to try them on my mare. Of course, I paid for shipping to return the boots, and even enclosed a prepaid envelope for the new pair to be sent to me, and they arrived within a few days. Talk about a hassle-free, speedy exchange. The Tack Shack was great, so I'd definitely buy from them again. As for the boots themselves, the material is durable and the Velcro really sticks. The boots stay in place, as described. I bought these to replace the ROMA brand that I'd been using, because those turned while riding. These don't turn. Love them, and love the chocolate color.

Good boots, less pulled shoes
These bell boots last longer than any other pair I’ve purchased, including the rubber pull ons. The padding seems the deter pulling off shoes much better than non padded boots. I do not have issues with moisture around the boot despite the material holding more water than say a rubber boot. By going up in size, I do not have the problem of the boot being turned around. My only qualm is how much money I’ve spent purchasing these boots. A promotion for repeat customers would be great.I do have one horse that has learned to remove these by pulling off the velcro with his teeth. I do wish that Pro Choice would release a version for horses like this that is much harder for them to remove.

Nothing lasts like the Professional Choice ones
Nothing lasts like the Professional Choice ones. We live in wet conditions and to help prevent shoes being pulled off in the paddock, all the shod horses wear boots. The hardest wearing are the glittery sparkles ones however - I don't know why that is - but I get 6 months out of them - 24/7 365 wear. For competition we upgrade to a new pair. One horse in particular will scuff out a pair of bell boots in one session of cross country. With the Pro Choice his competition ones last about 4 xc before they are put on in the paddock. I have tried various brands but these last FAR better.

Nice look but not truly durable
I originally really liked these boots. The color is what attracted me most. The big black or white rubber ones look too onvious, so I appreciated the brown color for my sorrel horse. They do run very small. My 14.3 horse with a size 0 shoe wore a large and it was barely big enough. They would probably be great for riding and competition, but do not hold up to pasture turnout. Close to $30 is too much to spend on something that lasts for less than a month.

Just got them today, so no complaints. They do exactly what they are supposed to and fit and look great. Thank you to other reviewers who made note that the sizes run a bit small. I have a 13.2 hand Icelandic horse and I would have ordered a small but thanks to others' comments, I ordered medium. Honestly, they are snug and I probably could have gotten away with large! But they fit, so I'm keeping them.

Great protection and good fit
I bought these for my 15-1 quarter horse who lately started clipping the inside of his ankle every time we ride. I bought a Large based on other reviews and they were a perfect fit. No more cut ankles and it really improved our ride. I expected the boot to show wear where he’s clipping but so far nothing. Very happy with these.
