Philips SatinShave Advanced Women’s Electric Shaver, Cordless Hair Removal, BRL140/50

In the winter I only shave my legs once a week, which is pushing it. I have used a safety razor for years and lately I've cut myself badly twice. I think it has to do with my grip not being what it used to be, my skin being more fragile, and it's harder for me to twist to get the difficult places. I decided to try something else. First I bought a men's Gillette Mach 3. It's OK but misses a lot of hair. With my old safety razor, if I noticed hairs later, I could just give them a quick swipe but the Gillette won't do that. And I still nicked myself Then I decided to try an electric at least for part of the time. I'm very surprised how well this shaves. I don't find many missed hairs and it's easy to do a touchup if needed. The really amazing and surprising thing is how long my legs stay nice and how much LESS stubbly they feel. I honestly don't get it. I'm guessing the electric cuts the edge of the hair differently so it stays smoother longer. So although I don't get the immediate smooth shiny effect that you get after a blade shave, for a whole week it just feels and looks like maybe one day of growth instead of the hairy ape effect a week after shaving. Perfect for my winter needs and probably summer too. This was totally opposite of my expectations. I am using this for dry shaving. I'm just not comfortable using a battery powered device in water and part of what I was looking for was ease of use. So I like that I can shave whenever. I like that this shaver just has a plug in cord to charge it. I first bought one that had a holder you plug into an outlet and then I found out I don't have any empty outlets usable that way in my bathroom or bedroom. And it looked like the holder would actually hog both outlets of a receptacle. Just plugging in a cord is so much more versatile, easy to do when traveling, in an old house like mine, etc.

The caps are a bit hard to pull off at first. But it's still undeniably a fantastic razor. It's much slimmer than the classic pink Panasonic, but still carries weight in your hand and is easy to hold and use. Love the extra caps for various purposes! Also, love that it comes with a cleaning brush and bag. The dry shave is very close to razor smooth, and closer than the Panasonic did without repetitive passes. I have thick, coarse hair. I was so stuck on the Panasonic which I've bought repeatedly over the past decade because it was the only electric that didn't pull hair or fail to cut hardly at all. This one does a much closer shave and doesn't have any issues with cutting my body hair. I picked this over the Remington that Amazon recommended because it's a similar style, but cheaper, and my boyfriend said Remington was his least favorite brand. I'm not disappointed at all with this purchase! I haven't used the Remington yet, but I'm positive it doesn't do a closer shave than this one does! Despite the negative reviews, give this one a chance if you've got thick, coarse style body hair (eg you're a POC). I don't use any attachments on my legs or bikini line, but I do use the close curves attachment for my armpits.

Wasn't sure about this electric razor, based on reviews. But I wasn't getting a close shave from my 'Panasonic Electric Shaver for Women'. It was frustrating me so much. I would go over underarm hair & the leg hair so often & still it would not shave it well. I have to add I did not have a lot either! So I bought this to try it out & wow, what a difference. Night & day! This 'Philips Satinshave' is so quick, and easy to use, and it glides against the skin smoothly to leave a close cut finish. I just did my underarms dry in less than a minute almost for both sides! My twin 15yr old girls, also have the Panasonic Electric shaver, and I feel so bad for them now, so I just ordered another one of this Philips Satinshave for them also! With it being so easy to use & no sharp blades, it makes it even so much easier to use. Definitely recommend it over others!

This is awesome. I have very sensitive skin, and many razors irritate it. I also have very light blonde hair, so I can get away without shaving for longer than most. I wanted to try this for two reasons. First, I wanted to spend less money on razors, and second, I wanted to create less waste. This shaver cost me roughly the same amount as a value pack of razors would cost me, and has lasted for longer, so my first goal has been achieved. I am not purchasing packs of razors with excessive packaging and throwing everything away eventually, so my second goal has been achieved. What I didn't realize is how much more I would like this electric shaver than regular razors. 1) You can use this wet or dry, so I can save water and shave dry. This comes in really convenient when I decide to wear a sleeveless shirt AFTER I've already showered. No big deal, just whip out the wet/dry electric shaver and problem is solved in less than a minute. 2) This is awesome for my incredibly sensitive skin. While some may be irked that this isn't the closest shave ever, that's actually really great for me. This is only shaving the hair, and is not right up against my skin, causing irritation and itching and bumps. 3) This works EVERYWHERE. I was very nervous to use an electric shaver. However, I have used this on armpits, legs, knobby knees, and bikini area without any knicks or irritation. 4) It says the battery lasts an hour, but I have never put it to the test. Nor have I ever had any issues with low battery. When I want to shave, I plug it into the charger, and am usually at full charge within a few hours. To be safe, I try to remember to plug it in before I go to bed so I can use it in the morning. For saving money, creating less waste, and sensitive skin, I recommend this.

Real convenient and the design is really appreciated. Takes a few hours to charge but ease to use and speed at which I get good finishes; no cuts and bruises.

Attention! Sur le site Philips il est vendu 59.99 et Amazon 84.99.. quand même le même modèle mais 15$ de moins. Sinon le rasoir entant que tel fonctionne bien. Décevant.
