XDS1003D 3D Network Media Player 1080p - Realtek 1186DD, USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, HDMI 1.4

I tried to find a good media player, who will able to play all video files, especially in 3D, My first player was KDLINKS HD700, people still giving 5 stars for those device, but I've had so many troubles with it, but XDS1003D is another thing, I am so glad that I pulled the trigger and I bought this device, what can I say? it's good, very good. Firstly is the design, not cheap looking like other relating players, blue neon front panel lights just awesome, I cannot say it's the perfect player, but close, he played all my files with no problem, after update more bugs have been fixed, Iconbit a China company distributor to Russia, I was surprised that is available for the USA market, and I was lucky to buy it on time, because it's no longer available, let people to praise KDLINK HD700, I am so glad with my purchase, all realtek1186 chips have the same issues, you cannot find any device with no bugs, but for 3D it's a best deal, popcorn A-400 just released and also has many bugs. It's pity that this player has a limited availability for US customers, it's even hard to find English support. But anyway I will give 5 stars, not because it's perfect, but to be brought to the US market, even with a limited amount.

Good little box that works for the Matroska video spec. It was amazing that it found the network pc that had my files stored on it since it was on the blind side that my laptop cannot see. I wanted DHCP from the wireless and static IP for my home business, so it is difficult to see from one side to the other. But this little box did just fine, plus plays most files well. The remote looks cheap, but works really well with convenient features like volume, muting, subtitle control, etc. The gigabit networking is speedy and works well. It does however lock up once in a while so be prepared to wait or unplug it. The android apps seem useless to me, but if there is a local drive, it may be convenient.

Pros: This is an excellent piece of equipment for the price. It provides full USB 3.0 support which is important for my use. The processor and system provide excellent performance and response time; even 50 GB BR files don't slow the system down. Skipping back and forth through a movie causes no complications. The Gigabit LAN gives fast response with almost no buffering. Even the appearance is attractive and looks like my Harman Kardan. All in all I have found this to be a solid system and a good value. Also the delivery time was excellent! Cons: The only negative that I have to take off for because I consider customer support part of the product, is that I sent one question to their technical support email address and received no acknowledgement, almost week later I sent the same question through Amazon to the vender, It now has been almost two weeks and I haven't received any kind of acknowledgement from them. Bottom Line: This is a great piece of equipment and I highly recommend it and consider it a must have, however if you think you may need help or information you might consider something else.

Plays everything I throw at it and the chip set has no lag unlike other media players I have tried in the past. So far so good with no problems what so ever.

no good don't buy

I had a single specific need - playing HD-DVD and Blu-Ray ISOs from a media server. The former don't work (they don't say it will, so that's not a ding - I just was hoping that would be in there "for free" like it is with say TotalMedia Theatre 3) and the latter require a FAST network connection, fast enough that I still don't have it working satisfactorily. The UI is vaguely awful and the documentation is as well. The product is still somewhat supported by the Russian manufacturer, so that's good at least, but my search for an ideal device continues.

Works, but won't play many of my M4V and MP4 movies I made using Handbrake.

Riproduce proprio tutto in modo fluido e eccellente. Utilizzato solo come mediaplayer (non utilizzo le funzioni android) e non ha mai manifestato difficoltà di riproduzione. Per le funzioni internet utilizzo eventualmente la smart tv ma questa oltre al menù non ottimizzato per i file non riproduce quanto l'iconBIT. Esiste la possibilità di inserirvi un hardisck SATA da 3.5 interno (da me non utilizzata). Io ho tutto in cablato e lamento eventualmente il laborioso aggiornamento firmware tramite usb. Segnalata su vari forum la non ottimizzazione di alcuni firmware. Io mi sono fermato alla 10.1.1.r10221_ (07.04.13) _2.02_EN. Vedendo la scarsa quantità in vendita di questo lettore e il prezzo notevolmente incrementato sospetto sia uscito di produzione. Sarebbe un peccato. Con qualche piccolo aggiornamento di layout avrebbe pochi avversari.

bonjour à tous, voila un petit retour de mon achat raisonnable ( 79e chez a****n ) après quelques hésitations: J'ai dabord acheté ce boitier pour son look,ses deux usb,l'intégration du dd 3.5 dans le boitier (mais j'avoue que le peu d'avis sur le net et la marque m'ont fait hésiter). Résultats après déballage: Le boitier est sympa et semble de qualité au vu du prix L'installation du disque dans le boitier est super simple ( obligatoire pour installer les maj Le dd du boitier et ceux branchés en usb ont été reconnu sans soucis :bravo: La télecommande répond pas trop mal L'affichage du boitier est un peu faiblard La première maj c'est faite sans soucis depuis l'interface mais la deuxieme à bloqué j'ai donc utilisé l'autre méthode. Avant les maj l'interface répondait assez mal et les films (mkv) m'étaient du temps à se lancer: plus de soucis après. Voila mes premières impressions sur ce boitier. Je suis agéablement surpris et j'espere que ça va durer donc si vous cherchez comme moi un boitier multimédia simple pour lire vos films sans problème celui ci est peut-etre le bon

Bei mir läuft der Iconbit ohne interne Festplatte sondern nur mit einer NAS im Gigabit Netzwerk. Ich muss sagen: Hätte nicht gedacht, dass das so gut funktioniert. Bis jetzt konnte der Iconbit alle Dateien abspielen, die ich getestet habe, sogar große Bluray Isos mit 35 GB funktionieren ohne lange Ladezeiten und ohne stockeln problemlos. Das Einzige, was der Iconbit nicht kann sind FullHD 3d mkvs. Soweit ich weiß kann das aber kein Player bis jetzt abspielen. Normale 3d blurays mkvs funktionieren übrigens problemlos, ebenso 3d Isos. Die Firmware wird immer noch regelmäßig upgedatet, bei mir liefen bist jetzt alle problemlos. Der Player macht allgemein einen guten Eindruck, nichts wirkt billig oder wackelig. Android und Inernet habe ich nicht getestet, ist meiner Meinung nach auch eher ein Nice-to-have, schließlich kaufe ich mir keinen mediaplayer um damit im Internet zu surfen oder Spiele zu spielen, dafür gibts Smartphones und Laptops. Einziges Manko für mich: Eine alternative GUI wie beim Dune (yadis) gibt es hier nicht. Ist aber nicht die Schuld vom Hersteller, da gibt es wohl einfach noch nicht so eine große Community. Eine Implementierung von Vorschau, Movieinfo (z.B. aus imdb) und eine übersichtliche Darstellung wie in yadis hätte ich mir gewunschen, mal sehen was zukünftige Firmware updates so bringen. Ich würde mir den Player jederzeit wieder kaufen und kann ihn nur empfehlen.

Muy buen reproductor multimedia. Hasta ahora reproduce todos los archivos que, por ejemplo, en otro reproductor Woxter i-cube salía siempre con formato erróneo. Adquirido junto a un disco duro de 2Tb. Nada de ruido, y aunque al encender tarda un rato, todo es acostumbrarse (ignoro si será porque ya tengo casi 1,5Tb ocupados). Recomendable.

Ottimo lettore multimediale, legge da un mio file server praticamente ogni tipo di video. La parte Android è superflua per le mie necessità, le poche volte che ho provato ad usarla l'ho trovata lenta e un pò farraginosa. Saltuariamente si blocca in fase di autenticazione sulla rete, ma non escludo che si possa trattare di un problema non dipendente dal lettore. La qualità audio e video è molto alta, probabilmente lo ricomprerei.
