Our veterinarian said this was good high protein wet dog food for our four-year-old German Shepherd Dog. Our dog seems to like it, and it seems to agree with him. I use several varieties of Blue Wilderness wet dog food and mix it together with dry dog food.

I use this for my lizard and they love it quite a bit.

I've been buying this for probably fifteen years for my dogs. They're very healthy. My dogs are never overweight!

I've never fed canned food before but my new dog is incredibly picky, so I was willing to try. I fed Blue Buffalo Wilderness kibbles to my previous dog and liked the grain-free formula, so I decided since this canned food was also grain-free and otherwise high quality, it was worth a try. Amazingly, my dog actually gets excited when he is going to be fed, chows it down and licks the dish! I literally tried a dozen other high quality foods before finding something he would eat. Oh, and one food he ate but I wish he hadn't (Merrick Grain-free chicken canned food, which smells awful and gave him severe diarrhea after one small serving mixed with his prior food). A lot of canned dog food smells awful but this one is tolerable, a plus for the people in the environment. One can per day is all he needs at 20 pounds. This is not a cheap food but under the circumstances, it is well worth it.

Blue Buffalo Wilderness is a virtually pure protein dogfood. It's free of any additives or junk. It's also free of all those grains and carbs that they fill up other dog foods with -- like corn (which dogs can't digest anyway), soy, etc. If you have a dog who is diabetic (and lately diabetes is as much an epidemic among dogs as it is among people), Blue Buffalo is essential to you. Since we started our 6 year old diabetic pug on Blue Buffalo Wilderness, his blood glucose levels have stabilized, he has lost weight, his overall health has improved and he has more energy. Prior to finding this dog food we had been making his food ourselves and with two other dogs and two cats, that ain't easy! Thank you Blue Buffalo for creating a product that diabetic canine parents can give their dogs without worrying about a bad impact on our dog's health. And, please ignore the poor review left for this product which was actually a criticism of Amazon's packaging. That is an inappropriate product review -- it has NOTHING to do with the quality of this product and should not be posted at all.

Are you kidding me? The Pits (they always get a bad rap as breed; but it is the owners for the most part who make them mean. Our two like to rough house and tumble around like every hound or working breed; but seriously some of the smartest and kindest dogs I have ever been with.) They can't get enough of this stuff. The duck just sends them over the moon. We've noticed a huge difference in health, coat, energy switching to grain free. We feed dry in the morning and a mix at night. Often they try to not eat the dry food....trying to hold out for the cans (It worked at first, the little sneaks getting cans during the day...lol; but ya learn to wait them out. A good workout and their game gets taken over by hunger. haha.)
