SIMPLIHOME Avalon 42" Wide Linen Look Fabric Storage Ottoman in Slate Grey

Didn't work for the space we bought it for but we liked it so much that we found another spot for it. Comes already assembled. Looks and feels sturdy, we love the fact that the cushions doubles as trays. The storage is not all that great, seems like it would have been a little extra feature had this just been a small bench.

I love it!. Storage is always a bonus. The top sections can be put cushion side up for a nice foot rest. Who doesn't put their feet up on the coffee table without thinking? Those 'cushions' can be flipped to make solid trays. Most of the time I have one tray side up in the center and the side ones cushion side up.

SO happy with my new ottoman! It arrived quicker than I expected in excellent condition. Assembly was simple--just putting on the feet. As others have said, the quality does seem better than the price would suggest--it's sturdy, heavy (but can still be easily moved by 2 people), and the vegan leather looks very nice but may be easily marred by pets or kids. I find that when I want to change purses, it's a last minute thing and with the purses in the bedroom it's another trip upstairs when I'm in a hurry. I wanted to keep my commonly used bags in my office so that I could have them handy when I need them. Super-happy with my purchase. Also no funny odors, which I expect with new furniture. It's a really nice red, too--not bright but not maroon, either--just right. Great value for the money!

I wanted a smaller, well-built ottoman to replace my current coffee table. This fit the bill perfectly! Color was a close match to my current sofa (which is always dicey to match when ordering online). The flippable tray feature is why I went with this model. It arrived a week before the due date! I have zero complaints and would recommend it to anyone!

I LOVE this ottoman!! We were looking to replace our coffee table with something that would be harder to collect a bunch of junk, while still allowing us to have a place to set down drinks and food. This is perfect! It’s a nice place to put your feet up and I appreciate having a place to put our blankets.

The Avalon is a superb buy for a classic, narrow-profile storage, table and bench--a sturdy, all-in-one solution. This fits brilliantly in adding additional seating to our oddly shaped living room, doubles as a coffee table without the appearance of adding another one to our living space (we already have one). It works as a foot rest, and as a storage container for our winter throws. I wish I had found it in my apartment years, but it's better late than never. Some of the more worrying parts of this buy were whether or not it would arrive in pieces requiring assembly, if it could really hold weight or if it would survive the shipment. Thankfully, the storage ottoman arrived very securely packaged, and in 4 pieces (plus legs). The largest piece is the entire ottoman and the other three were the flip top trays. It was a bit tough to get out of the packaging but a cinch to assemble solo. There were no offensive odors or defects. It held the weight of two adults easily (340lbs total) when you sat on it but we're erring on the side of caution and not testing 500lbs+ weights on it. The only thing is that I felt absolutely horrible ordering this off of Amazon as a single UPS driver had to carry this up our steps. It feels unusually cruel to mail such a large item but I am grateful for the front-door delivery! Update: I have gone on to immediately recommend this piece to others!

I absolutely love this piece of furniture. It has great storage & the cushions lift off & flip over to make serving trays with handles on top or makes a sectioned coffee table. It looks like real leather but isn't of course, wipes clean, has enough room underneath for cleaning floor. Is perfect height for in front of a sofa or forca mud room or entry way. It holds a great deal of weight for Xtra seating. Love, love, love ! Would highly recommend buying. Comes assembled, except for legs that just screw on. Well packaged. Glides easily on concrete or wood flooring. I ordered denim color & it is a beautiful blue ! I also ordered a leather - look footstool in denim, even though it was by another manufacturer & it matched perfectly !

Our new ottoman storage unit arrived by way of USPS. Not the most reliable carrier for large pieces. The carton had holes and rips in all sides. Guess SimpliHome wanted (or needed) to cut costs wherever possible. Much to our surprise, the container’s condition did not go through to the unit. This piece is replacing a unit we’ve had for about 12 years. SimpliHome may think they are producing “high-quality” pieces; however, compared to our previous model—sorry, they didn’t make the grade. The legs were easy enough to install. One did not fit flush to the unit. The seats are over 2 inches less in depth from our previous unit. Less seating comfort. The “tray” handles are not nicely polished or finished off—just painted black. The interior has a cloth lining that has wrinkles in places (our other unit had felt lining glued to wood). Not all the lining is glued securely. The interior also is not solid on the sides, so if one is to place any large items within that space that do not fit exactly, that lining will stretch or tear (e.g. don’t through games or hard items in there). In placing the three top seats/trays, you have to gently push the middle top side to make it fit down on the ledge; then slide one to the far end and repeat. (I viewed a YouTube video to see how to be successful on this point.) We’re not confident that this will last more than a few years—at best.

Muy buen material y bastante espacio por dentro Por el precio fue lo mejor que encontré

I ordered this ottoman for my sun room. The trays are excellent. The colour was great. Lots of storage and sturdy enough for it to be used as seating. Love it!

This coffe table/bench goes perfect with my leather couch and chair. You can turn the top over to make coffee table and has tons of storage inside.

Great and useful. The only reason for the four stars is because one of the trays has a chip on it similar to other reviewers. What can I do, I can complain but will they really replace one section? I don’t know. It’s more of a scratch not a chip but still noticeable if I use that tray section. Otherwise compared to others out there it is a good buy. Same one on Way.... costs $100 more for the same exact item. Check for yourself.

Very Happy. It looks beautiful in my family room. There was a slight scuff to one corner from rubbing in transit but rather than return it, we just used the same colour permanent marker and you can't see it now.
