As a typing keyboard, hard to bottom out the keys - spacebar sucks
Update after a month of use for typing and programming: When it comes to typing and other textual documentation, I like the the apple keyboard since, that's much faster as there is little movement of fingers required. However when it comes to coding, since one would be pressing multiple (combination keys) at once, a lot; mac keyboard fails here as it's hard to hit the keys right without looking at the keyboard. Membrane keyboards are better but the mechanical keyboards are the best since one can feel the keys before accidentally hitting them. I liked the brown keys keyboard that I used earlier, the good this with this particular K60 from Corsair is, it's a lot silent than the cherry mx keys, so I can enjoy my music playing on the desktop speakers while typing. Only thing that I didn't like that much on this keyboard is, the actuation distance is very short, like 1mm, which is apt for gaming for typing, when I rest keys, I need to ensure that I don't press the keys accidentally (there is not tactile for actuation). I kind of got used to it. Below is the recommendation: Not recommended if you - like clicky sound - use this for typing AND have heavy hands Recommended if you - like more silent keyboard (as silent as a membrane keyboard) - quick actuation (gaming/ arrow key navigation etc) - for coding and do not have heavy fingers (so you avoid accidental actuation) - for typing and do not have heavy fingers - like funky full-color back lights (this keyboard has best back-lighting) The space-bar was noisy, I noticed this is happening at the time of releasing the key fast, the momentum of the space bar hitting the pasting limiter/stoppers on the top. I fixed it by pasting some petroleum jelly between the metal supporters and plastic groves/limiter that are on the either ends of the space-bars, and not to the mechanical transparent switch. Now the space bar is as pleasant as the "enter" key. Hardening silicone gel is another option, but I couldn't locate that on time. If you use silicone, you need to be super precise with it as you don't want to obstruct the motion of the keys with hardened silicone. I am getting one more of K60 RGB Pro SE for my 5th grader daughter, cuz I like this keyboard for my needs and she likes it too bumping up to 5 star. I can provide pictures. ------------------ Update after a week of heavy use: This *sounds* more pleasing than the brown keys. Keys still feel harder to bottom out (I know keys don't change but I can get used to it). The actuation point is roughly at 1mm, so there is no need to bottom out the keys except for a sense of satisfaction. Still keeping 4 stars. Would upgrade to 5 stars when/if this becomes my go to keyboard and when I start recommending to my friends. Currently I still recommend a keyboard with "brown keys" for typing use. Original Review: Cherry MV (MX Viola) Keys (transparent ones) - not blue, brown, red. Feels like a variant of MX Red. Should be better than MX Red when it comes to gaming. This keyboard was a total surprise to me, in a good way and a bad way both. Softer than expected. Heavier than expected. Colors look cooler than expected. Space bar more wiggly and noisy than expected. Quality of material, better than expected. Ergo - rather a flat keyboard - not as expected. Wrist pad --- integrated magnetic wrist pad is better than an independent one. Hopefully I will get used to it soon. This is a next level of engineering, I don't know if the effect is good or bad, so far so go. Will update the review after a few 1000s of lines of code.

My whole system is CORSAIR® but the 1st time I needed them for help, I did not matter!
Outdated, not supported, updates did not fix issues, brand new, out of the box. They took control of my PC for three minutes, then just vanished after they couldn't find out why the keyboard was malfunctioning. Tried to do a virus scan, nothing. CORSAIR® used to be a leader, but their growth and HORRIBLE customer service make me never buy it again, and my whole system is CORSAIR. HUGE Fan, would tell everyone to buy CORSAIR® all their products. THE FIRST TIME I EVER needed them, it did not matter, and literally, their own tech said it was defective.

It's different
It's an interesting feeling switch to say the least, coming from cherry mx browns. Took a few days to get used to but I do now prefer this boards dull clack sound and travel curve over some of the other mx boards, even though this is considered to be a budget switch. Travel is a lot heavier but fairly smooth. Some keys may sound a bit squeaky/scratchy and the space bar is like hitting a gong at times on the se version, but it's a satisfying feeling nonetheless. Pbt Keys are very stable with box design, no rattle. Overall It's a solid board, aside from those scratchy keys. Hope they will allow us to swap these switches with other violas in the future.

Just ordered my second!
I built my gaming PC back in 2021 as a college graduation present to myself lol well I chose the k60 as my keyboard and let me be the one to say, it is far superior to any keyboard I've used. If you are a streamer, YouTuber, or play with friends and worried about mechanical typing entering your mic (used to happen with my Samson G-Track Pro and any razer keyboard, which is why I won't use Razer products anymore) this keyboard is quiet enough to not be picked up by your mic. The keyboards lighting is beautiful and the keys are really smooth and sensitive. My first one met it's end when it started double typing. After rigorous cleaning, it still continued so I went and got a K55... I was immediately turned off by the plastic armrest. So I ordered a second K60 because I absolutely love the soft armrest it has. Totally recommend this keyboard to anyone.

Awesome RGB, Supreme Comfort and a...Unique Typing Experience
I was interested in the K60 since it was announced. The new Cherry Viola switches perked my interest. After using the board for about a week now here are my thoughts: - Definitely worth getting the SE just for the wrist rest. Great quality and super comfortable! - The RGB really pops on this board. I like that I have so many options on the board itself as I've never been a huge fan of the iCue software. - The Viola switches are interesting. The board more or less functions like a linear switch while gaming. The responsiveness has been really nice. - The switches are very quite. If that's the kind of board you are looking for then this is absolutely the board for you. - Again it's worth getting the SE just for the PBT keycaps, they are really nice. Not seeing grime, residue or marks building up. The RGB really shines through nice as well.

First real mechanical keyboard
Honestly, it was a bit difficult to get used to the keyboard spacing - this is my first mechanical keyboard. It was definitely much easier to strike the keys. Haven't used it to game quite yet. The keys aren't too loud. If this is an entry-level keyboard, I'm pretty happy with it. I just need to get the RGB set up. I keep my computer on at all times. I'm just worried that my cat will keyboard on it.....

just go for it
best keyboard at it's segment good for gaming but if you're into typing a lot of stuff it might be a little tricky cuz the keys are so responsive that a little tap will recognize as a press but still that is a good perk for a gamer and also the wrist rest is next level the softness make u feel so good it like a memory foam pillow i would buy it again and again just for the wirst rest...
