This is a quantum leap forward in trolling motors. I put on 17 foot bass boat. Get the mounting bracket, it's the only way it attaches. Also you don't want to road abuse, doesn't mount as rigid as the flip downs, so you can pop it off and store it for travel. Used with a large gel battery for four hours and battery meter never showed loss of juice. Very quiet, completely changes the way you fish. Buddy gets hung up in back of boat, just hit anchor lock and low speed, they can reel backwards onto shoreline while bow will point out to set anchor point. Amazing. Dislike reviews on initial purchase, not sure of reliability, but this is such an amazing piece of equipment you can't wait! Lanyard most useful, even in small creeks 20 feet wide. Track lock feature completely frees you up to fish while robot trolling motor does the work. Compliments to the engineers!

Great for my bay fishing. Anchor control holds with 2 feet of position on my 17' center console with 115HP motor in 7 knots winds and 5 knot tide. Just what I needed.

Invest in quality deep cycle battery with high AH. Or it will drain fast

The linkage fell apart the first time out. It seems cheaply put together and customer service after the sale was not so good. I never had any problems using Minn Kota

This looks like a really good trolling motor. Just installed. Have not had a opportunity to use.

When it worked it was great. Used about 7 times. Then it randomly dropped out of anchor mode and did its own thing. Hit buttons on remote and it did the opposite. Tried the new battery trick in remote. Redid all connections. It won’t sync to a remote. Tried a foot pedal and it synced once but only worked when rotating to the right. Left was delayed and it hesitated. Customer service sucks. They literally pay someone to tell you how to sync the remote.(which we already know how) then say you have to take it to a dealer. Which, there are so many broken Motorguide’s on the shelf waiting to be looked at they won’t even get to yours for 4 to 6 months. Save yourself the money and headache. They don’t stand by their product either or do what they should to help the customer. Really disappointed. Now I have to spend an afternoon getting it off because they certainly didn’t make it easy to mount….BTW saltwater models don’t come with foot pedal for some reason. Not sure why they only make it wireless too. Would make sense to have a wired connection so you can still control it. Then again. I’m not surprised. It was made by Mercury and they have always made nothing but junk.
