What I liked about this product as it performed what my doctor recommended for me to take to increase my level of B-12!

Most people have never heard of MTHFR (Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) but it is not as uncommon as one might think. It is just that doctors either don't know about this gene, or just don't think about it when people have all sorts of unexplained physical and mental symptoms. Following is an explanation I got online: "Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase catalyzes the conversion of 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate to 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, a cosubstrate for homocysteine remethylation to methionine. Genetic variation in this gene may influence susceptibility to occlusive vascular disease, neural tube defects, dementia, colon cancer, and acute leukemia, because mutations in this gene are associated with methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase deficiency."There are different varriants of the MTHFR gene. I am homozygous (two copies) for C677T and my husband is heterozygous (one copy) for the A1289C variant. I take Cerefolin and am in excellent health at age 63, after suffering through all sorts of strange symptoms/disorders through the years. However, my husband doesn't need anything as strong as Cerefolin. The MTHFR gene inhibits the body's ability to break down crucial folic acid into folate, the useable form. This product contains folate. My husband takes this and has seen an improvement in joint pain and mental acuity since starting on it over a year ago. It is of highest quality and was recommended by my husband's physician.

I am so glad that I am able to get this product. It has intrinsic factor which can be lacking in several genetic variations of the MTHFR. There are many products that have the methylated forms of B12, B6 and Folate. But I find no others with intrinsic factor!

Having pernicious anemia, but refusing to get shots, I wasted a TON of $ on different B12 products, in a short amount of time. Nothing was working. In fact, was feeling worse as if I was dying. Until I found THIS. And thank GOD it works. Without the intrinsic factor, I don’t think anything else would’ve worked for me. If I hadn’t found this particular brand, I was going to be forced to get shots. I immediately started taking 2 of these with a Calcium tab; (calcium helps it absorb even more), along with 2 extra methyl folate tablets made by another company, and a b6 tab. I could cry at how much better I feel. I went from feeling half dead to feeling alive and almost normal as soon as I took the 1st dose. It may even be saving my life. Time will tell, but I’m definitely sticking with this one. And just to help others, I take 2 of these together at the same time, which totals 1 mg. of b12 which my deficiency requires. Also, these aren’t meant to be chewed or placed under the tongue. Only swallowed. If you place it under the tongue, the intrinsic factor cannot work in your stomach to absorb it, & that’s where it needs to work. Sublinguals go directly to the bloodstream, but this is the ONLY swallowable b12 that includes the intrinsic factor. If you’re like me, and your stomach doesn’t produce that factor so that you can absorb b12, then this product will be a Godsend, as it is for me.

I’ve been taking them a year and —along with proper nutrition and exercise— feel healthier than ever.Love their customer service too! I once had a package delivered outside of Amazon services that broke and they immediately replaced the bottle.The taste is good… I take them with food.
