Review: Great workbook - Weโve done several years of these workbooks. They are excellent. My student gets practice reading maps and it helps him practice reading comprehension, too. The worksheets are finished quickly, and my student is motivated to move to the next page. Consider buying a grade above your studentโs level. Review: I wish it had more pages.. - My 8y/o loves it. He enjoy the work but goes through it quicklyโฆ

Used in a homeschool co op
Perfect for a co op. Bought one per kid and used a blackboard to help with spelling. Kids added star stickers to front, sent home at the end of co op.

Good for 4th graders
Our daughter's elementary school does not teach any geography, so we bought this book and found it very useful, and our daughter enjoyed it also, as supplementary work at home. As other reviewers have mentioned, the difficulty level of this book is very low, so I think it is more appropriate for 4th graders, not 5th, but YMMV. If you do use this book, I strongly advise against getting "6th Grade Geography" in this series, because the topics are almost exactly the same, and it does not add any depth or breadth to what is covered in "5th Grade Geography." Another option would be to skip this book and go directly with the 6th grade book, which I think is more appropriate for 4th or 5th graders anyway.

Great introduction
As homeschoolers looking for light work in social studies and sciences, this book fit the bill. Easy to use and not too boring. We expand on the topics as the interest dictates via the internet. We enjoy this flexibility in discovering sciences and social studies. We will be ordering more workbooks from this company!

This book rocks
My 9 (almost 10 years old) loves these geography books. He finished the 4th grade one so quickly that I just had to buy the 5th grade one. I highly recommend!

Great homeschool source
It has been a while since I ordered this workbook, so my review is a little late. These books are a very good homeschool source. I would highly recommend them. Thanks Amazon!

Good Resource for Homeschool
It's hard to find geography books for homeschooling in Canada that actually have wider topics than just maps (location of major concepts). This series is pretty good, best we've found for giving an overview of all the different topics kids should at least understand at their grade level. We have used all of them and like them all. Easy to do 1 or 2 pages a day for a year of school and get the topics covered.
