As a instructional DVD to assemble an AR-15, this DVD is a failure. Dean Caputo's AR-15 Armorers Course DVD is excellent and would serve this purpose much better. This DVD is mainly a summary of aftermarket accessories and historical versions of the AR-15. As you sit staring at a pile of pieces from a lower parts kit, you will be dismayed to see Dean simply drop an aftermarket Wilson trigger into his lower and move on. His comment that you should probably just buy an assembled upper will also perplex you as you were hoping to see it's assembly demonstrated. This DVD will at times feel like a big commercial for Colt, Bravo Company and a handful of other companies. It does have good information in it, but it could be a supplement to the Armorer Course DVD rather than a separate program. To be fair, at one point in the program, Dean states that you should probably watch his Armorer Course DVD prior to assembling an AR. Good to know.
