Using with my analog cameras, it’s truly a nifty fifty.

Even though its an old model it works. Not very smooth to handle like while fixing in the camera or fine tune the focus. Still I'm satisfied with this product according to what I spend. Recommended for beginners. ( I'm a beginner )

Good product

This is the most value for money lens one can get for a Nikon body. This small lens gives you excellent image quality and a sturdy built quality for such a budget price. I didn't find anything to complain about. This fast normal lens alone is sufficient for general purpose photography and can give you service for more than a lifetime. It doesn't have VR but, with the max aparture of f/1.8, I never felt the need.Points to be noted before buying:1. It gives 50mm focal length only on full frame digital bodies and film SLR s. On Dx bodies the effective focal length will be 75mm.2. Autofocus will not work on Dx bodies that doesn't have motor built in the body like D 3000 & 5000 series. One can, however, use it on those as a manual focus lens.

Okay, this just came in. Like literally right now. I did a quick test run and field testing in my backyard. This lens is absolutely wonderful on my d810 and is super sharp (when you get use to no VR #firstworldproblems). I did have some aberrations,NOT FROM THE LENS, but from the cheap Polaroid UV filter (which is pretty good for the price btw). I had a huge debate with myself over 1.4f or 1.8f or 36mm and I chose the 50mm because a) it is the least expensive b)it is suppose to be the sharpest c) It is like what a human eye seesSo far so good :)I troubleshooted some of the problems I had.Troubleshooting:FEE error when using manual aperture (d810 or a dslr like it): Go to menu->custom menu->controls (f)->custom controls(f6)->aperture setting->aperture ringNo auto focus: make sure the body is switched to autofocus -go to the smallest aperture and lock it using the orange switch.That's pretty much all that went wrong with my lens.Pros:lightweightmanual apertureaperture from 1.8-22fsuper sharpINEXPENSIVECons:Bokeh is half decent at 1.8f. This is a good quality lens at an affordable price. The technology may be 20+ years old but as they say "they don't make them like they used to". The wide aperture ensures excellent depth of field control, achieving the blurred background is almost too easy. The lens performs well under reduced light, when a wide aperture is selected moderate shutter speeds are maintained reducing the likelihood of camera shake. I use this lens for portraits, landscapes and it even works well as a macro lens.I bought this lens for Nikon D5100 and there are a few points to note. This lens will not auto focus on d3000/3100 or D5000/5100 as it has no in built motor. However enable the rangefinder function on the camera and manual focusing can be achieved quickly and accurately. Although the lens has an aperture ring, lock this at the minimum setting (f 22) before attaching the lens to the camera, and the aperture setting is controlled from the camera. Lastly due to smaller dx sensor this 50mm lens will act as a short telephoto no bad thing however you may have to zoom with your feet more.I'll conclude by saying that this is probably the best quality and value consumer nikkor lens out there: brilliant optics, vivid colours and bokeh. If you can live with manual focus on the d3000/d5000 systems then you will not regret buying this!

Amazonで約15000円で購入しました。D7100で使用しております。当初はAF-S DX35mm F1.8を購入しようと考えていました。以前よりこのレンズのことは存じており、設計は古いものの、なによりも価格は魅力的でした。AF-S DX35mm F1.8はAPS-C専用設計で評判も良く、また焦点距離も使い易いと感じていたので、最後まで悩みました。使用しているカメラがD5300や3300であれば、AFが効かないため迷わずAF-S DX35mmを選んだと思いますが、D7100ならAFが使用できるという点も決め手となりました。また、このレンズには距離表示もありますので、MF時の使い勝手も良いと期待しました。といっても、やはり一番の決め手は価格ですね（笑）画像ですが、中上級者の方が見れば解像度などの違いが明らかにあるのかもしれませんが、初級者の私にとっては十分綺麗だと感じます。またとてもコンパクトなので、気軽に持ち歩くことが出来る点も気に入りました。（普段はAF-S18mm-140mm を主に使用しているので）気にしていた50mmという焦点距離ですが、風景を撮るにはもう少し広角の方が良いですが、スナップや建築物を撮るのには、特に不便と感じませんでした。MF時には、ピントリングが細く、特にフードを取り付けるとお世辞にも操作性が良いとは言えません。しかし明るいレンズのため、ファインダー像も確認しやすいので、使い勝手は悪くないと感じています。レトロな感じのデザインも良い雰囲気ですし、単焦点レンズの勉強用として、とてもCPが高いと思います。

E' stato il primo obiettivo che ho preso per la mia Nikon D3100 (che, nota bene, non può usare le sue caratteristiche di Autofocus, lo può fare la D7000 e la D7100 per le APS-C e penso tutte le FF, per le quali è compatibile, se non erro).E' un obiettivo fantastico con cui giocare e con cui apprendere la fotografia. Non è un normale al 100% sulla mia Reflex (è equivalente ad un 75mm circa). Fa ottimi ritratti, con uno sfocato bellissimo e una nitidezza veramente notevole. A f1.8 è molto luminoso (anche se è meglio per i ritratti chiudere sempre un pochino, almeno di uno stop, altrimenti ci sono parti di viso non a fuoco, vista la profondità di campo ridotta).A differenza del modello G può anche regolare manualmente l'apertura dei diaframmi, cosa che torna utile quando per un motivo o per l'altro non possiamo regolare l'apertura da fotocamera (vedi fotocamere vintage Nikon, vedi anelli di prolunga macro senza regolazioni, come questo http://www.amazon.it/Walimex-Tubo-prolunga-macro-Nikon/dp/B004OXWRBE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1422827846&sr=1-1&keywords=walimex+macro) o se vogliamo montarlo tramite adattatore su altri sistemi.E' la lente che uso di più in assoluto, benchè non sia uno zoom (e quindi sia meno versatile).Non è stabilizzato, quindi è meglio usare dei sostegni se si scatta a meno di 1/50s su FF o di 1/75 su APS-C.Visto il costo irrisorio rispetto ad altri obiettivi, è consigliatissimo.
