Legato Single Serve 6oz Coffee & 1.5oz Espresso Machine

Hardly ever do I write a review and yet I am an avid Amazon customer - but this product is so good, I have to share my thoughts with you.The Legato machine is, in every way, a true "find." In Italian, "Legato" means to connect - and what better way to connect with friends than over a good cup of coffee! The machine is sleek, art-deco in design, ebony plastic (which appears to be high quality) and polished stainless steel, with a brushed finished "Legato" branded front piece. The back of the machine is an integrated water reservoir, which is enough for many demi-tasse cups or several full cups of coffee. There are illuminated soft-touch buttons on the front of the machine for small (espresso size) or regular size coffee servings and the "heat-up" time seems to be very fast from when the machine is turned on. BTW, the coffee temperature is just right- not scalding hot or lukewarm.But the "clincher" here is that the Legato comes with 90 mini-capsules of coffee - its almost like getting the coffee maker for free, considering the price point at which the seller is offering the product. i am a bit of a coffee-snob and the Legato coffee meets, and largely exceeds, my expectations. The coffee is Italian, the aroma ( especially when you open your first sealed bag of mini-capsules) is intoxicating and the flavor is velvet-smooth, every cup frothed !I bought 4 machines, with 3 as gifts for my friends and will purchase more for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.If you are in the market for a good, inexpensive espresso and coffee maker, the Legato is, in my opinion, a great choice. The fact that it comes with 90 capsules - and all for under $100 - seals the deal.

Nice small unit. Prompt customer service. The first unit lasted about ten months, but the legato company replaced the unit for me at no cost under warranty! So happy about excellent customer service but mixed feelings about the unit, not sure how long the second one will last. The unit makes great espresso with nice thick layer of creme.

I bough it back in April 2016, and ever since the beginning you had to make 3 coffees to fill up a small expresso cup.After just a year, the internal parts of the mechanism that holds the capsule all fell apart. I have had to come up with my own solution to hold the capsule in order to stretch the life of the machine a bit longer.Good coffee though, but poor quality coffee maker.

I liked the simplicity of this machine in both its design and use, the coffee was good, and their customer service is very good, but much to my dismay, I ultimately had to return three machines after the first one stopped working 10 days into use, the second one sometimes turned the pods sideways after brewing so they had to be removed with needle nose pliers, and the third one stopped working after just three uses. Perhaps I had three lemons, but after three tries, I'm moving on. Maybe your luck will be better than mine.update: I just received an email and video from Legato of them testing the three machines I sent back. They all seemed to work as intended. I'm not sure why I had an issue with them.

We purchased our first Legato espresso maker a couple of weeks ago for our home. I am Italian and I enjoy a good cup of espresso in the afternoon. The unit itself has a very sexy, sleek look. Sharp black lines with a gentle blue lighting. The operation parts of the nit are very simple and easy to use. The espresso is quite delicious with a nice layer of cream on top. I feel that for the price this is an excellent unit. It is not a high end machine, so you will not be able to open an espresso cafe with it, but it is perfect for home use. It is an excellent value. I liked it so much that I bought a second unit for our veterinary clinic for clients. I would encourage anyone looking for a good espresso maker for home or light public use to consider this machine. I have had espresso from one of the more expensive Nespresso machines, and this is just as good if not better. A big plus for some of us is that the unit also accepts the Nespresso pods. That being said, I will be reordering the pods from Legato because I like the flavor.

Legato espresso/coffee maker is an overall good machine, practically indistinguishable from Mixpresso, Legato provides better package as it includes 90 free pods. Coffee quality is good, not as wide selection as Nespresso, but pods are interchangeableMy machine leaks some water into the pan after each pod, not much though, also had a hiccup once refusing to spit out an used pod, but did it after cooling down overnight.Tried Nespresso Citiz, it is almost twice as expensive, but ... you get what you pay for
