It does work for cordless phoneโs 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm ear pieces
I was trying to find an adapter to be able to use a smart phone ear piece with 3.5 mm jack for an old cordless phone 2.5 mm receptacle, as it is hard to find 2.5 mm ear pieces these days other than those operator type headsets. This adapter is it ! If you use a wrong type, the microphone wonโt work.

Glitchy but works
I have a Panasonic DECT 6 cordless phone I use with Google Voice, but like a hands free option for talking. For years Iโve been buying headsets similar to the Panasonic cordless headset with boom microphone because itโs one of the few with a 2.5mm jack. Unfortunately, these headsets go bad after a few years and the prices have gone up. I wanted one to work with my downstairs phone too so wondered if there was a way to use my iPhone earbuds. Well, this adapter was all I could find that will make the connection. Once you have it hooked up correctly and donโt move around it works well. But at times it will make a loud static noise when youโre first connecting it or adjusting the wires. One time it wouldnโt connect at all and I had to try again. So itโs glitchy. Itโs something youโd want to set up first before making calls vs. grabbing it quickly when the phone rings. Still, for the price and lack of other options I give it 4 stars. Itโs nice using earbuds too vs. having that other headphone band over your head, hearing in just one ear, and having a microphone in your face. Sound is good on both ends too once connected properly.

Cheap quality
For the price and the type of product, considering materials needed, I feel like it could be better. It had static issues from the first day. Itโs not worth $8, maybe $2. Gets the job done for a few days though.

Eureka! This is the adapter I've been searching for to use my Bose headphones on my cordless phone!
I'd been looking for a cable adapter to allow me to use my cordless landline Panasonic and Uniden phones with my Bose noise cancelling headphones. This one does it well. I can hear the other clearly party with both ears, and they can hear me. This adapter properly connects in-line mic on the Bose headphones cable to the cordless phone. I tried and verified it connected with Bose QC35 and QC25 noise cancelling headphones. (It also works with the Bose NC700 noise cancelling headphones, but you must find, get, and use the Bose headphone cable from the QC35/25 having an inline mic on the NC700. The microphones built inside NC700 are not carried out thru the headphones' wired 2.5mm cable connector.) I tested this with cordless phones Panasonic KX-TGA106 and also Uniden TRU9466. Edit: I will add that you should be aware of the kind of connection standard used by your phone and your headset. Look up CTIA and OMTP on the internet and see which standard your device uses. Between the two standards, the Ground and Microphone connectors are swapped. My personal Bose headset has the Android (CTIA) cable.

Nothing but static.
Nothing but static. And it's loose in the port. Same size as the previous one we had just different maker. This one immediately didn't work. The old one I had before I attempted to replace it lasted years. Please don't waste your money.

This works with my Panasonic KX-TGA652
I have a Panasonic KX-TGA652 cordless phone, and this item works perfectly when I attach headphones that have a mike to the adapter. Sound quality is normal and good. I haven't used this much and can't testify as to how durable it will be, but it the cable is short and stout enough that I can't imagine it will break prematurely unless the internal wiring or electronics are not as good as the outward appearance. Please check your phone model's instruction manual to see what standard it uses. If it mentions that it uses the DECT standard, then this should work for your phone.
