The capsules are Size 00. If you have trouble swallowing you can easily open the capsules and mix the powder with your food or drink.

From which country are the raw materials sourced?

According to the label and website, the calcium source for this product is “Aquamin”. Many bone health supplements contain Aquamin so compare prices. Aquamin branded Marine Minerals comes from Lithothamnion seaweed (red algae). The Aquamin website identifies that they are sourced from “Icelandic waters” and “the North Atlantic seabed”. Aquamin is distributed through Marigot which is located in: Strand Farm, Currabinny, Carrigaline, Co. Cork, Ireland. There are other supplements that contain calcium from red algae from other areas of the world. For example, Algae Cal branded plant calcium is another extract that’s added to bone supplements. The two sources of calcium appear to be much the same. Higher prices can be due to additional ingredients but usually are due to more advertising.
