I purchased the Timetec 8GB DDR3L module specifically to upgrade my Synology DS216+ NAS, and the performance difference has been absolutely brilliant. Out of the box, the standard DS216+ comes with only 1GB of memory. This can quickly become a bottleneck if you run multiple background tasks, run surveillance cameras, or utilise Docker containers. Fitting this 8GB module completely transforms the machine by maximising its memory capacity. The web interface is considerably snappier, and the extra unused RAM acts as a fantastic system cache to help speed up general file transfers. A quick word of warning for anyone attempting this: accessing the single memory slot requires a bit of disassembly. You must first remove the hard drives, unscrew the fan grille at the back, and carefully pry the casing apart to reach the motherboard. However, once you are inside, swapping the module is straightforward. Upon rebooting, the NAS recognised the full 8GB immediately without any compatibility warnings or stability issues. I am very happily giving this a five-star rating. It is highly recommended for anyone looking to squeeze a few more years of top-tier performance out of their older DiskStation!

Technische Bewertung im Detail Spezifikationen & Spannung: Das Modul liefert exakt die versprochenen Spezifikationen. Es taktet zuverlässig mit 1600 MHz bei einer Standard-JEDEC-Latenz von CL11. Als DDR3L-Modul (Low Voltage) arbeitet es äußerst effizient bei 1,35 V. Das reduziert die Abwärme im Gehäuse und schont bei Notebooks spürbar den Akku. Dank der Dual-Voltage-Architektur ist es zudem abwärtskompatibel zu Systemen, die zwingend 1,5 V benötigen. Plug & Play & Kompatibilität: Die Erkennung verlief absolut reibungslos. Das BIOS/UEFI hat die Timing-Profile sofort korrekt ausgelesen und angewendet. Es waren keinerlei manuelle Anpassungen nötig. Auch im Mischbetrieb (Dual-Channel mit einem bereits vorhandenen Riegel einer anderen Marke) gab es keine Timing-Konflikte oder Systemhänger. Stabilität & Integrität: Um die Speicherzellen auf Herz und Nieren zu prüfen, habe ich das Modul mehreren intensiven Durchläufen mit MemTest86+ unterzogen. Das Ergebnis war makellos: 0 Speicherfehler nach einem 12-stündigen Stresstest. Das schwarze PCB ist sauber verarbeitet und die Speicher-ICs (Chips) sind hochwertig verlötet. Performance: Die maximale Bandbreite von 12.800 MB/s wird in Speicher-Benchmarks voll ausgeschöpft. Im Alltag resultiert dies in massiv verkürzten Ladezeiten, extrem flüssigem Multitasking (speziell bei speicherhungrigen Browsern) und einer Vermeidung von Paging (Auslagern auf die Festplatte). Fazit Ein in allen Belangen überzeugendes Speichermodul. Timetec liefert hier Hardware ab, die sich vor den großen, deutlich teureren Marken nicht verstecken muss.
