A nice sturdy bag
Big enough to carry the essentials... and a little more. Seems sturdy and well made. Pockets, pockets and more pockets. I'm not sure yet how weatherproof it is but the material feels heavy enough and the stitching tight enough that it should be okay.

Nice sling bag that is just the right size
I really like this bag, it's the perfect size for me. I was searching for something that falls between a standard purse and a full backpack, and this one fits the bill pretty well. I am using this bag to take to church so it holds my bible, and a few other books plus my pens. The sling is very adjustable and super comfortable as well. I like the carrying handle at to top so its easy to switch from my back to carrying by hand. its easy to switch from back to front too if you are in a crowd. I enjoy it so much that I just wish the quality were a bit higher. The materials are okay, but I'm skeptical about how long the stitching will hold up—time will tell. The design itself is thoughtfully laid out, with dividers in the main compartment and plenty of additional pockets and pouches. The zipper glides smoothly too. All in all, it's a solid value. I'd gladly pay a little more for the same bag with improved build quality.

Great Sturdy & Comfortable Sling Bag!
Great sling bag/bac pack! Very durable, plenty of pockets that zipper, although, i am a fan of the little hidden pockets some bags have. Whether it be on the actual strap itself or somewhere hidden inside the bag. It does have the large zipper pocket on the outside/back of the bag, i just like the small ones that no one is going to see. Definitely would recommend!

Fabulous compact backpack
Just about the perfect backpack for tablets and small laptops. Compact, yet with enough room for what you need. Also used as a handy bag for Biomed tech work; fits a safety analyzer, some tools, pens, notepad, etc. for jobs in hospital and at clinics. Highly recommended!

Quality bag, great value!
This is my second NICGID bag. I have the smaller one and it is great for my everyday carry, but I wanted something a little bigger could put my iPad Pro/Macbook Pro in. My devices fit great and I’m just as pleased with this size as I am with the small. I will likely buy a couple different colors in the future. Quality bag, great value!

For the right use case, it's perfect.
The age of Covid has changed nearly everything about my job. Instead of going to a physical office building every day, I stroll down the hallway to my home office, motor up the standing desk, and get to work. This has dramatically changed the dynamic of what I carry around with me in my work backpack. Instead of carrying everything I "think" I might need for a day away from home, (ie: company laptop, personal tablet, power supplies, cables, adapters, other personal items, etc.), now I carry the essentials. Plus, as laptop sizes have slimmed down, (from a bulky, old HP 14" down to a svelte, 12" Surface Pro 7 and a personal iPad Pro 10.5), I need less bag to protect them. Then there's this. In the old days I was flying to and from Europe and fell into the habit of keeping most of my portable office on my back all the time. I'm talking about things like Bose headphones, spare batteries, and the like. Even though it added a few pounds to the heft of my bag, it also meant I never had to scrounge around at the last minute to pack for a long trip. As my previous daily bag, I have a Swiss Gear TSA-friendly pack that I purchased from Sam's Club. As far as I'm concerned, it remains the best value on the market. It's not perfect, but at $39.95 it's hard to beat. With the exception of the odd, internal, hard-shell sunglass case that always rips free at the seams, the Swiss Gear is a beast. I've traveled the world with it and it just... keeps... going. Sure, the teardrop design falls over at your feet at the airport, but it's large enough and flexible enough for me to carry all my electronics, a few flat file folders, and even an emergency change of clothes and shoes. But in the post-Covid, work-from-home world with smaller electronics and less travel, the Swiss Gear is overkill for most of my daily needs. Most days it just sits on the shelf collecting dust. So I went hunting. After several hours of hunting, I found this Nicgid (what's with these odd, word salad names, anyway?) sling/messenger bag and it seemed perfect for my needs. Okay, nearly perfect. It only lacks three things that would make it truly perfect, but I'll get to them in a minute. Those three things are so relatively minor that for most people they'll never notice the difference. First, let's talk about the great features... * It's a single-strap convertible, meaning you can carry it left or right shoulder, or reclip like a messenger bag, or carry by the handle like a briefcase. (Also a drawback, but we'll get there in a minute...) * The various compartments are laid out nearly perfectly for the way I work, with an externally accessible zippered compartment for my badges, boarding passes, and passport. * The external compartment is on a flap with adjustable clips that flips back quickly to expose an open pouch and a couple of pen slots, making it secure (enough) to protect certain loose items (like the aforementioned pens, Covid mask, tissues, a snack, etc.). * Underneath that flap are also two decently sized zippered compartments, one larger than the other. You can stuff all kinds of things into these slots, like cables, power adapters, earbud containers, etc. * The main compartment, though, is fairly large given the fact that this is a single-shoulder sling. It comfortably fit *both* a Suface Pro 6 *and* an iPad Pro 12.9 with the Magic Keyboard. There was room left over for a third 13.3" device if I really wanted to go crazy. * There are external water bottle pockets on either side that are large enough and stretchy enough to carry most 16 to 20oz bottles. (I carry a ham radio walkie talkie in one of the pockets, so ymmv...) After all that positive, there are a few caveats. None of these are deal-breakers, but you should still keep them in mind before you buy. * There are more D-rings than straps to attach to them. Not sure what the D-ring on the shoulder strap is used for. * Speaking of shoulder straps, this is a *single strap* bag, so don't buy it if you think there is even the most remote possibility that you will want to throw it over both shoulders. * It is not the best padded bag I have ever used. If you tend to throw your bag around and trust that it will protect all your electronics, think again. It's padded, just not heavily padded. If you drop it to the ground with a laptop or tablet in it your device will likely sustain some damage. Bonus caveat... * The clip that attaches the strap to the D-rings is not particularly sturdy. It is plastic with a metal spring clip. It works. It will "probably" hold up over time, but it is not a heavy-duty plastic clip like on my Swiss Gear backpack. Be careful in how you toss it around and you should be fine. Other than that, I'm already enjoying it and using it regularly as a cross chest bag when I ride my ebike for a visit to the local coffee shop. Recommended.

Almost perfect..but not quite
Just like someone else's review, I tend to have an obsession with buying bags hoping to find the perfect one. I had really high hopes of loving this bag but in the end it's not there so I'll be returning it. So here's my review Also this is reviewing the 14" bag. I've noticed that the 13" and 14" bags are NOT the same and the reviews are mixed together. The Good: I like the feel of it and it seems well put together. I was able to fit not only my 16" macbook but my 13" personal laptop as well. it has a LOT of room, even if I wish for a few more smaller pockets here and there. In all I think if people do not mind the deficiencies that I list below (which are probably specific to what I like and look for) this would make an excellent bag for someone looking for a sling bag capable of carrying larger laptops. The Bad: So nothing here is horrible, just things that put it not only out of the running of "perfect bag", but even out of the running of, "Well I like it so I'll just keep it". 1. The zippers all are single direction. Most bags I find have two zippers so you can zip it closed from one side or the other, OR zip them together in the middle, which is what I do more often than not. All the zippers just go from one side to the other, so you have to completely unzip it to get your laptop out, or just to reach in to find something. More of an inconvenience than I prefer. 2. The strap does not have a quick release. This is a deal killer for me that I didn't notice before. The zipper has a clip that secures it to the ring at the bottom, but there isn't a quick release so you can get it easily on and off. This was really disappointing since I have no desire to loosen the strap and lift it over my head everytime I want it off, and fumbling with that clip to release it is more trouble than it's worth. 3. No external USB charging port. The 13" version of this has one, however the 14" does not. I didn't notice the difference when I bought the bag so it was a bit of a disappointment to see it wasn't there. it does have that goofy little hole for headphones (which I don't use wired headphones so, kind of pointless). I suppose you could run a power cord out of that if you wanted, but it's not optimal. One note about the little hole for headphones. It looks like on the inside someone just poked a hole through the nylon instead of making an actual, professional hole. So I expect this will tear at some point if you use it. Rather cheap solution if you ask me, but then the bag isn't that expensive. Wrap up So it's a good bag that feels solid and holds a LOT for a sling bag. If it even just had a quick release on the sling strap I might have considered keeping it. But with so many things that making it a turn off for me I can't justify keeping it just because I think it's a good bag in general.

Study, functional and dressy
This is a great sling bag and a great upgrade. My first sling bag was, and is still great (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0754L7S59?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title). I received many good comments. But I have outgrown it for my daily requirements. This new NICGID Sling Bag fits my needs. More room, more functional sections and pockets. I can now separate my phone and 11in tablet from the main storage area where I also store my lunch including a 1L SodaStream bottle and still have room for more (assuming my lunch isn't to big ). There is also a section in the main storage area without a zipper where I can drop my daily package of supplements and my meds. Without a zipper makes access to this section fast while still being secure. The bag itself is light, sturdy and stitched well with strong zippers. The design is sharp and functional. I purposely chose the Blue - Nylon bag Which looks more dressy and does not attract attention like my previous bag. I am very happy with this purchase.
