Has anyone actually used this successfully to break a car window in a car that is sinking underwater?

LOL, fortunately not! This product does come with a round piece of tempered glass that you can test the tool. It's pretty impressive how it blasts the glass into pieces, quite easily. I have no reservations on this product's abilities but I think you'd have to make sure you place it in a position that's readily available and easy to reach in the event you ever need it, heaven forbid. It's also a bit slippery, some grip enhancement, like grip-tape, might be an improvement.
