Hosa CMR-203 3.5 mm TRS to Dual RCA Stereo Breakout Cable, 3 Feet

As professional musician, I've used a lot of different cables over the years. Of all, Hosa seems to offer the best combination of types, lengths, and quality for the price and have become my go-to for cabling.They are durable, come in most sizes and configurations needed, and don't cost arms and legs. I got the CMR-203 to replace a cable from a computer to external speakers that had one day decided to stop working. I had the cable within two days, plugged it in, noticed the sound was clear, and carried on without worry. Hosa always seems to work and sound right. Five stars

I own three Hosa cables; two for musical instruments and one for stereo audio. All work very well and I have had no problems with any of the cables. You can find less expensive no-name Chinese made cables and they often work fine, but Hosa cables are consistently high quality, trouble free, and reasonably priced.

I bought two of these for a loudspeaker test jig project that I was building. They plug into the computer's sound card and the test jig as planned, seem to be well built, work well and don't seem to add to the background noise level.

I bought the Hosa because it was available in a 3' version (which is great, because I am using it to hook up an iPod Touch to a mini-amplifier). BUT it has an "old style" tip width on the male minijack side - so it won't seat properly in either iPod I use (the one with the thick case OR the one with a thin case). Problem is, most cases seem to leave only a narrow ring around the earphone jack, and the rim of the Hosa is too fat to fit through the cases. So I had to switch to an adapter cable with a narrower rim, designed just to work around this (apparently common) problem: the Mediabridge - 3.5mm Male To (2) RCA Stereo Audio Cable - (6 Feet) - Step Down Design accommodates iPhone, iTouch, SmartPhones & MP3 cases . I hope Hosa issues a modified replacement for this product soon. Let's face it, probably the number one use for an adapter like this is to feed audio from an iPod, iPhone, or Android or other phone or tablet to a desktop-style amplifier. I don't want to have to remove the case to use the cable. This is a nice length and, as others have noted, excellent quality.

I replaced my Monster audio cables I got from Walmart that had a considerable level of distortion & noise. These cost about the same and it has WAY less static. Like it's not 100% clean but it's waaaay less distracting than the cheap Walmart alternative. So it's an easy recommendation for me.

Pretty strong cable. I needed one to hook up bose speaker to TV. Though it did not work the speaker but it's not cable's fault. Speaker works okay when hookded with the DVD player.
