Flimsy

It's a simple portfolio and good for what I bought it for - holding my 4 year old's slew of art work. I wouldn't recommend it for a serious artist looking to protect work, because it has no folders and is pretty thin and flimsy. Serves my purpose, though, in a cute color my daughter likes.

I have purchased two of these now to use to store my daughter's artwork that comes home from school everyday. I put the stuff on a bulletin board for about a week and then take it down and put it in here when the new stuff comes home. They are thin enough to store easily, and the material is sturdy, so it will not rip. One tote expands enough to hold a year's worth of artwork and they are sized nicely to accommodate larger pieces of paper. I will purchase another one next year.

This portfolio is flimsy, not worth the $25. The handles have metal connectors that would scratch any art work placed inside. It was folded in half and placed inside a very large box which is designed to fit the portfolio flat. It arrived bent and out of shape. Again, this would damage artwork. I returned this product.

I bought it so I could store A3 pages of music, and it works fine. I cut a piece of corrugated cardboard as a sturdy backing, and this portfolio works as designed. I recommend it.

The material is a lot thinner than I was expecting, so I'll have to put a big piece of cardboard or matboard inside to make it stiff. The flap on top doesn't close, because there's velcro on one side but not the other. And as another reviewer said, there are metal bits on the inside that hold the straps, which could damage artwork. If I put matboard inside and tape over the metal bits, that shouldn't be a problem. There's also a bit of damage on the front: a small dent and scrape that is just cosmetic.Despite all that, it's big enough to hold my art pieces and bring them safely from college to home and from my dorm to class.

This is relatively sturdy for lightweight materials. It has a velcro closure, and is lightly coated with a plasticized coating. It would not stand up to a lot of water, however for light sprinkles it is just fine. I've had this one for a while and it's gotten quite a lot of hard usage. I ordered what I thought was the same one in red {I don't care about the color and the red was cheaper}, and they are not the same. The red one doesn't have the velcro closure, is plain paper, and has s slightly smaller gusset. Given what I know now, I would have spent a little more on another blue one (assuming it's exactly the same one I got the first time).
