A disgrace to maths text books.
I am a qualified maths teacher and purchased this book solely to have have access to questions being attempted by students I tutor online.Be warned that this book is an absolute disgrace. There is insignificant explanation of the techniques required to answer the majority of the questions in the text book and some of the questions could only be attempted by those with an exceptional ability in maths. The fact that this book is a big seller is only due to the fact that edexcel and Pearson are one and the same.

Decent companion to A-Level Maths
I bought this to aid myself in completing the new A-Level Maths spec from Edexcel and while it has proved useful there are a few things I have been annoyed by.1) The solution bank is sometimes completely off - giving the wrong answers and sometimes even listing the wrong questions!2) The problems given for students to solve are not hard enough to be considered exam-standard so feels like losing time doing repetitive questions that neither challenge you or prepare you for the exams.

Avoid at at all costs
Really poor quality book. The answers in the back don’t go through the method of working which I find extremely lazy and poor quality. Please please please avoid this book because it teaches you absolutely nothing from your mistakes.I would advise buying the CGP as and a level student books for more practice because they have clear step by step answers at the back of book.So lazy and inconsiderate from Pearson I will be asking for a refund.

Full of error/typo
The author should feel absolutely ashamed for releasing a book without any kind of proofread. Every couple of exercises you will find an error, the solution are beautifully clear for the easiest exercises, but short, undetailed and obscure for the most complex exercise. So you will spend time first to study and learn and even more to understand what kind of mistake have been done by the author. Shame on you

Good content, bad questions.
At the moment I am teaching myself Maths A-Level. This textbook offers excellent explanations on the topics it covers, but the questions in the textbook are poor. There are many repetitive questions and most do not provide adequate challenge to prepare you for an exam paper. The solutionbank is regularly incorrect or lists different questions to those in the textbook, which makes it difficult to understand your own mistakes without other online tools. That said, most of the solutions are right, but there are too many incorrect not to write this off.I gave it 3 stars, knocking off one for the incorrect question solutions and another for the low quality and difficulty of questions. The explanations are good however.
