Oster CKSTCG22R-ECO 7 Minute Grill with Dura Ceramic Coating, Red/White

I absolutely love it. I love grilled food, but I don't like to use the gas grill for grilling just for one or two people. So, instead I have been using my Oster grill a few times a week. So far I have made burgers, zucchini, grilled cheese sandwich, fish, steak, and chicken. They all came out great and as I get more used to it, I've mastered the cooking times so I am not overcooking everything. As with any other electric grill, cleaning is not fun. But I learned that if you spray some water on the grill plates (with an atomizer) while it is still warm, then you can clean it easier after you've finished eating your meal. This works wonders for me. I tried to avoid the cleaning by wrapping the food in aluminum foil before grilling, and sadly the food didn't come out that good. Also, although it is not recommended for outdoor use, I do use it outside when weather permits. Not a big fan of lingering smells in my house (grilled fish, anybody? ) Also, for better results make sure the meats you grill are thick enough so they touch both plates.

Okay, I totally bought this grill because I saw a FB video of what looked like the most amazing stuffed burger in the history of burgers. I couldn't even get through the whole video before I jumped on Amazon and pulled up the listing. Imagine my dismay when the product was so new that they weren't even thinking shipping would be available for MONTHS! So, next time I went to Walmart/Target - I scoured their aisles. No joy. So I came home and placed my order. And got very happy when the months of waiting was immediately whittled down to a couple of weeks. I have had a Foreman grill for years. I love the idea of being able to "grill" both indoors (not a big fan of bugs) AND being able to remove the excess grease from my family's food while still delivering delicious, grilled flavor. And while this product is much smaller than any Foreman grill I've ever seen - this product is 1000x more innovative! It is so easy to drain the fat. The clean up is a piece of cake. I love the guide that tells me to what to cook flat and what to cook on its side. I LOVE how quickly it cooks everything (chicken breasts, fish fillets, fruit and vegetables). Oh, and that burger? While the prep takes 15 minutes longer than the actual cooking time - it is LITERALLY worth the purchase alone!

I purchased this appliance because of the ceramic cooking surface that was advertised as not pealing or degrading and therefore not contaminating the food cooked on it. I previously owned several George Foreman Grills and they all began to lose their nonstick coatings on the cooking surface. This grill is not doing that yet. It is easy to use. I primarily cook salmon, burgers and some sandwiches. I find I need to adjust cooking times depending on what it is I am cooking and I don't mind that. But cleaning the cooking plates is a drag. The surface would clean up nicely if one could remove them and wash in soapy water. But since you can't do that it takes repeated wiping with wet paper towels . The sponge that comes with the unit works okay for the first few times but then squishes down and loses its shape to the point that it is almost useless. So I guess I am saying that the grill works fine, is easy to use but is very tedious to clean. The cooking surface wipes clean okay but the grooves prevent getting all the cooking juices until you do multiple swipes with paper towel. So...... buyer beware. Hope the company redesigns this grill with removeable plates. That would make it more convenient to use.

I saw this on a Buzzfeed post for jalapeño popper burgers and I had to have it. It's hold half of what my geroge foreman can hold but it works so well and faster. It comes with a booklet that shows suggested cooking times for different dishes which is really nice. It's easy to clean and your food comes out delicious. There are so many dishes you can make using this grill. I use it a lot more than I initially anticipated.

I like how fast it heats up and cooks, but it is a little more difficult to clean than advertised. Doesn't do the best job of cooking evenly either.

I just used my 7 minute grill for the first time and loved it.I cooked 2 burgers- they were done to perfection in less than 5 minutes and I really liked the way vertical flip feature allowed the fat to drain away from the food as it cooked.The grill wipes clean because of the ceramic coating and I just threw the drain pan in the dishwasher.the small size makes it really easy to store too.I have other Oster DuraCeramic appliances and this one is as good as the others.this product is a great addition to my kitchen.

Original rating: 3 Stars. This thing isn't lying when it says "7-Minute Grill". Burgers are cooked fast and taste good but the downside is it's difficult to clean. Grill plates aren't detachable and it recommends not to place under faucet. You have to try to clean off the grease and charred remains with a damp cloth or a small sponge that comes in the package. Grease collector cleans up pretty nicely but be careful when you turn it to drain grease into collector. If there's a lot of grease may splash outside collector. Update: New rating 1 Star This thing is pretty much useless. Most disappointing purchase I've ever made on Amazon. There just isn't an easy way to clean this grill. I have to literally hold the entire appliance over the garbage to try to wipe off the burnt debris off the plates. Just plain ridiculous. I'd throw it away but knowing you lost 45 dollars hurts. Then to add insult to injury you can back on here to see it now costs half the price you paid for it. Ughh

I got this over the holidays to make quick lunches. Works great! Cooks evenly. I did not have any issues cleaning the grill and found storing it easy given it's handy size. I also love making the fancy grill marks in the bun and toasting the buns before serving.

Muy practico y muy bueno

Funciona de maravilla. Comida deliciosa. Solo no puedo limpiarlo porque la charola no es desmontable y después de 2 meses de uso ya luce así. No se le quita con nada y comienza a afectar el sabor de la comida, pues lo que está pegado huele a quemado. Eso ya no me gusta.

Muy buena, aunque es difícil de limpiar

no sirve se quema la superficie, la idea es buena, muy reducido el tamaño, no lo recomiendo, es mejor una plancha cuadrada.
