Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Huntsman - Multitool Camping Knife, 15

'Exquisite' is perhaps slightly over the top but take a look at my photos and let me explain (the photos are on 1cm squares). The 'Huntsman' is COMPARATIVELY light and has all the tools I wanted for a particular purpose. If you want a different tool-set there are MANY different Swiss Army Knives (SAKs) to choose from; you can even get them custom-made to suit your exact needs. The big difference between SAKs and the excellent USA multitools is that SAKs are beautifully finished (think more of a Swiss watch) AS WELL AS being thoroughly practical, pocketable, more comfortable and legal in the UK. Each individual tool/blade is genuinely perfect. There are no machining marks, every tool is polished to cutlers' standards and is designed with years of experience. The excellent USA alternatives are not finished to anything like as high standards, they unashamedly shows tooling marks everywhere and, rather like American cars, they display crudeness as if it was a virtue One very minor flaw is that the dividers between the various blades are not smoothly polished. I feel that Victorinox should have made the tiny bit of extra effort to polish the edges of those dividers. A Swiss watch-maker would have done ;) I have included an image of my smallest SAK (a Victorinox Escort) to show that they are not built to the same standard as the bigger SAKs. They are built down to a price and have tooling marks on the blades just like the Americans do. The Victorinox Escort has nevertheless become my EDC knife in preference to my Leatherman Style (original model) and my Spiderco Grasshopper. Victorinox blades hold their edge surprisingly well and are as sharp out of the box as any pocket knife except my Opinel. A separate pair of pliers alongside the Huntsman makes far more sense to me and weighs less than the 'big' tools shown. That combination costs far less too, even with superb Knipex pliers.

All the tools I needed (blades, saw and scissors mainly). Quality item that I got at a reduced rate in a promotion. I've owned several Victorinox products and have never been disappointed with them. This is no exception.

Absolutely amazing product, Victorinox really lives up to their name. The features on this are more than I need and it feels like excellent quality. UK Legal to carry which may be useful for some people & it's strengthened by it's small sleek size. Some tools on the knife can be a little tricky to get out if you don't have a longer nail, however it's not been a problem for me yet as I have always managed to get a tool out when I need to. The toothpick is GREAT. Also just to add on, the blades (especially the main one), are INCREDIBLY SHARP, so be very careful as the tools tend to snap out and in fast and I found out first hand by accidentally cutting my thumb.

As always with Victorinox, the huntsman is an excellent all round knife. perfect size, easy to use, feels durable and looks impressive.

Valeur sûre, j’en ai recommandé un après avoir perdu le mien. Ayant toujours un couteau suisse sur moi, il me sert quasi tout les jours. Très pratique niveau tournevis, petits ciseaux, ouvre boite, petite scie très fonctionnelle, le pointeau avec le trou, le cure dent et forcément les lames qui coupent très bien.. un couteau multifonction à avoir sur soit en permanence, surtout qu’il ne prend pas de place. Alors, évidemment,il ne remplace pas les outils proprement dit, mais il est tellement pratique et dépanne sans arrêt.

Ho comprato mesi fa un coltello svizzero Victorinox e posso dire con certezza che si tratta di un prodotto di ottima qualità. La sua versatilità lo rende indispensabile durante le mie escursioni in montagna. La lama taglia benissimo, facendo una discreta figura sia nel preparare il cibo che nell'affrontare piccole emergenze all'aperto. Ogni attrezzo, dai cacciaviti alle forbici, è ben progettato e si integra perfettamente nel design compatto del coltello. Inoltre, la robustezza dei materiali assicura che resista all'usura nel tempo. Porto sempre con me il mio Victorinox durante le escursioni, e la sua presenza mi fa sentire pronto ad affrontare qualsiasi situazione. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque ami trascorrere del tempo nella natura di avere un coltello Victorinox nel proprio equipaggiamento. È un ottimo compagno di avventura!
