Sky Organics Raw Cocoa Butter 16oz, 100% Pure & Unrefined Solid Body Butter

Greatroduct. I'm on my third batch. At first it is weird to melt and stays hard for along while even after rubbing pieces into your skin. I bought a small tea warmer that will warm a single cup. I then scraped and cut out pieces of cacao into a mason jar and warmed it on the tea warmer. This is much easier. If you don't want to go through that leave it on the window sill in the sun for like 20min and it should melt a little bit. Once it is melted it is amazing. It cleared up my dry cracking and scaley winter skin. Reversed dark spots and made my skin look amazing. I'm a darker complexion and when I get dry and scaley I can get dark spots. This completely removed that and even brightened up my complexion. First two batches were amazing. Smell was great the feel was awesome. My third batch wasn't the greatest. It seemed a bit stale and has an unpleasant odor. At first I thought it was a bit of a chemical scent, but then I remembered having some raw cacao nibsthat were close to expiration. They had a fermented tasted. Almost a hint of alcohol or something. This scent in the cacao butter was exactly that. It is natural and okay. With that said, 2/3 perfect, I will purchase again still.

Update, 3 March 2022: This 16 oz jar of mango butter lasted a good 14-18 months without turning rancid like other butters do. I keep the mango butter and the rest of my natural oils in a cool dark place (a box or a drawer) away from light. I love how creamy and moisturing the mango butter is by itsself. I use it as 1/2-2/3 of my skin cream recipe (of which I change the proportions each time I make it). I always use cobalt blue jars because they are "light fast" and protect the ingredients. Once I have combined all of my mango butter and oils mixture, I refrigerate the jar for 3 hours to set the combination into a nice smooth cream. I use my empty 16 oz mango butter jar to make a big batch of cream and keep it refrigerated. That way, I always have my cream handy to refill my little cobalt jar. (I use 1 oz and 2 oz cobalt jars.) ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` This is the first time I have ever tried Mango Butter. I must say, it's been a treat. I've been making my own moisturizing formulas and soaps for several years now. I use this Mango Butter in my cream style moisturizers for my lips and skin. I use more of the mango butter in a jar with other essential oils and fruit seed oils when I am making a lip moisturizer. I use a bit less in my moisturizing creams. Whichever manner I use it, the mango butter absorbs rapidly into the skin just like the fruit seed oils that I use. My face is ready for makeup within a couple minutes. I have also used this mango butter in my homemade deodorant. I have no problems with this causing any kind of staining or residue on my clothing. I highly recommend Sky Organics products and their Mango Butter. Update 30 September 2019: Sky Organics has become one of my favorite companies for my natural oil products that I use in my healing and moisturizing creams and lotions. It was time to purchase the Mango Butter again. Got it at half price when I receive the sale notification. I received the Mango Butter today and immediately updated my cream with this fresh jar of Sky Organics Mango Butter. It is deliciously, luxuriously creamy and smooth. I was able to mix it in a jar with my lotion recipe with no problems. The blending was simple and easy to create my cream formula. Thank you Sky Organics for all your great products. For some people who may be new to using organic products, it may come as a huge surprise if you find out the butter is SOLID and hard in the container. Please do not get scared because this is how raw cocoa butter is supposed to be. You would need a spoon to scrape it off or better yet, scrape it off and melt the butter in a microwave to get it to a liquid consistency. With that said, I can see why this brand of raw cocoa butter is so popular. First of all, I love chocolate so the fact that it actually smelled and tasted like chocolate was a plus. Second, while it was hard, once melted, it did rub on my skin like regular massage oil. I would say this is a great body moisturizing product provided you use it immediately after a shower while your body is still a little wet. Since oils can be drying ( this has happened to me with coconut oil) becuase their primary functions is to trap moisture in your skin, I would suggest making sure your bodyis relatively moist before application. I can honestly say this product is great and I would definitely buy this brand again after my jar is done. Compared with other brands which has dimenthicone (a man-made silicone) Sky Organics is 100% raw with has no additives and man - made ingredients mixed in. I FEEL SAFE using this product. Additionally, the seller sent a complmentary recipe manual to make my own butter. The brand's own website also have recipes as well. If you are looking to be skin healthy and is looking for something authentic then I can say give Sky Organics a try. Cocoa butter has been clinically proven to contain antioxidants that will both heal and reinvigorate your body. The fact that this is 100% raw already sealed the deal for me.

First of all, this product is NOT organic. Second, it was so hard I couldn’t use it. I have to soak it in hot water for several minutes to even use it, which is not convenient. Third, after several uses it developed pink mold. Now it smells rancid and I will be throwing out a full tub of $20 cocoa butter. Overall a massive waste of money, please don’t bother with this product.

I know we have to scrape to get the benefit of the product, but it really works. This is the cocos butter that I had used as a teenager. The same smell too. I love it. It smell like a Hershey Chocolate Bar. My skin is softer. My hands are always in water. I bought this because I had surgery. My incision feels dry. The cocoa butter relieved the dryness. I had a knee replacement. To do the Therapy, I have to bend. It feels like my stitches are tearing apart. It really soften my skin. I would recommend this product to anyone. It's helping my skin heal.

In contrast to other reviews, I just opened my jar last night. This cocoa butter isn't "creamy" at all. In fact, it can only be accessed by acquiring shavings with a knife. Luckily this isn't my first cocoa butter or I'd believe it was normal. There is NO butter consistency. Normally, coconut oils can separate and cause the nutty part (with nutritious fibers) to harden but this is more like the oils were taken out (or it's a wrong type of coconut). So the actual product may be excellent, caution with expecting to have any easy access to getting it out of the jar. I shaved some off & then heated it a bit to soften the shavings. And no, it doesn't melt in your hands (from body temperature) like another reviewer said. It melts on the oven (or in a microwave). It smells good and I have no reason to believe it's anything but great quality. Perhaps I just got a rare jar not quite ready for prime time. It's difficult to go against all these rave reviews, after all. But working with food can result in slight differences from time to time and so will allow for that. Hence, the 3 stars (it's organic coconut butter & someone put their energy into making it) and it's very good for us!

This tub is gonna last me and my husband a good while and we use lots of moisturizer, especially rn while it's winter. It's hard to scoop out while it's cold, so take a hairdryer to it to help melt it so you can either use your finger nail to scrape some up or just pour the melted oil into your hand. It's been like 6 hours since we showered and applied it and still feels great. Absorbs well and surprisingly not that greasy! Scent is natural and earthy; almost kind of like a hint of coffee. I personally like it. I do not like artificial fragrances & all the other junk in my products and the main reason why I stopped using palmer's products. If it ends up being too earthy for your liking, just add some drops of whichever essential oil(s) you like. Will definitely buy again once we're out, but who even knows when that'll be bc we've barely even made a dent in it.

Great quality, I like the fact it’s natural ingredients, nice scent. Very good at moisturising, just be aware that it’s solid but it will melt with the heat of your fingers.

We have been using Sky organics mango butter for almost 2yrs. Our daughter had terrible terrible exczema and we have sworn by this. This product restored the moisture in her skin! Love!
