Makes Brake Jobs Quick and Easy
The JOJOY LUX 360° Brake Caliper Press Tool was a game-changer for my brake replacement job! The 360-degree ratcheting design made compressing the caliper pistons super easy and smooth, saving me a ton of time compared to using a C-clamp or other manual methods. The build quality feels solid, and the tool provides even pressure, preventing damage to the caliper. It worked perfectly on my vehicle, and I was able to swap out my brake pads effortlessly. Whether you’re a DIYer or a professional mechanic, this tool is a must-have in your toolbox. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make brake jobs faster and hassle-free!

Very good tool, helps with multi-pisten calipers, needs spacers for some Mercedes calipers... A-
This tool works, but it is limited in it’s design. Luckily, it is easy to overcome the issues I had by making your own shims to be able to use the tool with “some” model cars, let me further explain. I have a 2015 Mercedes Benz SL400 roadster, which comes equipped with 4 piston Brembo calipers. These calipers are HUGE, and there are 2 pistons per side that need to be pushed back to insert the replacement pads. I managed to complete 1 side of my car using 2 C-clamps and was able to use the old pad to keep 1 of the pistons pushed back. The problem is when you push back 1 of the 4 calipers, it forces the other 3 to push out. So, it is similar to Wack-a-mole, and you need more than 1 clamp. I was lucky in that one of my C-clamps had a dual head, but even with this the task was far from easy. I looked on Amazon and found this tool for around $20 (Dec2023) and figured I would try it out. The design works well, but the fault in that design is that the tool does not open wide enough to push back the pistons. I solved this by cutting some ¼” plywood spacers the same size as the plates on the tool, and then I use adhesive magnet pads to allow me to mount the spacers so they would not fall out. While this worked, my magnets were not very strong, so I am going to switch to Velcro. Since they give you some longer spacers to cover even larger calipers (I thought the Benz calipers were big, I guess the length spacers are for trucks?), I do not see why they cannot give you spacers to increase the width about ½ total, ¼” per side and magnetically attachable to the tool. I am only going to deduct 1 star because of this, and it was simple to overcome. The tool seems sturdy enough and the racket works well, I have no fault with the operation of the tool, just the layout and lack of spacers for width. What makes me wonder if they really tested this tool is that my car is the exact target market for buyers, people with multiple pistons that need to be pushed back for service. Multiple Benz autos use these same calipers, so I guess they did not thoroughly test this tool with many of the cars on the market. I will include some pictures of my homemade spacers; it took me about 2 minutes to cut them and apply the magnetic backing. Overall, this is a good tool, and if you have a multi-piston caliper it will help you swapping pads. Since it seems the overseas vendors read reviews and alter their products better than US based companies, I took the time to write this review carefully to explain what is needed with the next iteration/improvement of this nice tool.

Little things that make life easier
Hanging replacement parts on your car is a good way to save money on the cost of owning a car. I have changed the brake pads/rotors or shoes/drums on a wide variety of vehicles that I owned or for friends and family. It's a fairly simple job that provides great dividends in value. I rarely come across a specialized tool that makes a big difference. This was such a tool. I have used everything from C Clamps, to F Clamps, to the Lisle tool, but they mostly fall short. Running the screw in and out each time is slow. This tool with the center ratchet is so much faster. With the plates on each side of the ratchet, I didn't have to use an old pad to push against. Since the ratcheting screw is in the center of the tool, there was even compression, so I didn't have to worry about skewing the piston. It works the same for dual or single piston calipers. All in all, a tool that saved me several minutes on a quick job. As I paid for this product with my own funds, the maker of this tool had no sway on my review.

Works but not good quality
Works good but on the truck the calipers need to be opened to the limit of this tool. That ends up damaging the screw and making it not work very well. Guess you get what you pay for and this was cheap enough and it works this time.

I should have gotten this LONG ago
This is the greatest automotive hand tool ever! No more playing around trying to get a dual piston caliper retracted.
