Micro adjustment is a must but the machine is good!
I saw another review saying that even the fine grind is too coarse and when I pulled the first cup that was my initial impression too BUT you can adjust the burr grinder to a much finer grind and that will COMPLETELY change the whole experience so make sure to do that. You have to remove the grinder, there are YouTube guides for it. The machine is very good, some coffee knowledge required but you can pull an amazing espresso.

no dosing funnel, no baratza burrs
the machine is great and works well, but in description said it comes with dosing funnel and with baratza burrs and it didn't, this is not the upgraded version, other than that machine looks amazing and espresso quality is improved from my bambino

Not suitable for making proper espresso
Here's what this device can't do: 1. Correct fine grind. Even the minimum grind value (1) gives a coarse grind that is not suitable for making proper espresso. 2. Set the correct temperature. Even the maximum temperature setting does not make the water hot enough. 3. Maintain stable parameters. The grinding quantity and temperature value are always different. Ultimately, if you buy properly ground coffee and buy a normal tamper and scale, you can get a drink that will be similar to espresso. I will say that this device certainly makes better coffee than a fully automatic coffee machine, but this fact does not transfer it from the category of toys.

Machine leaks water after ten days of use!!!
I bought this in January from Amazon AE (though shipped and sold by Amazon UK). After ten days, I started to notice huge vibrations and then water leakage from various parts and surfaces (including underneath) when steaming milk. I had to return this back to the UK and incurred the shipping fees unjustifiably even though it is a damaged and defective product. Amazon AE is not cooperating even though they are the actual seller. It is highly recommended to buy directly from the certified retailer on Sage website to avail warranty / replacement. Otherwise Amazon is of no use.

Broken from day 1
So incredibly disappointed. The coffee machine hasn’t worked since day 1. The seller has ignored my request for support/repair. Amazon haven’t supported in any way. I now have a very expensive coffee machine that doesn’t work.

Outstanding Machine For Passionate Coffee Lovers!
This is a fantastic coffee machine. I feel like a proper barista using it. It’s perfect for home use. Firstly it’s incredibly stylish ( I have the Brushed Stainless Steel ), sleek and easy to clean. The size is just perfect on the kitchen counter, we have a galley kitchen that isn’t particularly big but the machine fits in perfectly and is not too big. The instruction booklet is easy to read and helpfully has several pages clearly worded, with diagrams, on how to use and set the settings for first use. Also pages for troubleshooting. There are two settings for coffee dispensing - 1 shot or 2 shot. The frother is excellent and with a bit of practice ( and lots of YouTube tutorials) you can be making coffee art like a pro! The timer to dispense coffee and grind settings for the beans there are clear instructions what to set them to in the manual but I did alter slightly to reduce output and get a slightly finer grind of coffee. The great thing is it’s very easy to adjust to suit your taste/ beans and very user friendly. As you can see in the photos this Barista Pro machine delivers a professional level of creme on the coffee that you would expect in a high end independent coffee shop. The coffee comes out so smooth and flavourful as well as perfectly hot even if you have just turned the machine on. This is the perfect buy or gift for any coffee lover, a machine that respects the standards we now expect from our coffee and allows you to treat it as more of a passion and art form than most standard coffee machines. It’s never leaked and it’s very quiet as well. Looks stunning, easy to clean, great digital display, durable solid materials, well built and delivers a great cup of coffee.

Great machine - better than the De'Longhi equivalent
I purchased this to replace a similar De'Longhi coffee machine (the Specialista Prestigio), which failed after only 3 years of use. I have now been using the Sage machine for 6 months and it is, in my opinion, by far the better designed machine. Like all similar machines, it takes time and perseverance to produce coffee exactly as one likes it, but I am now delighted with the consistency and quality of my espressos and cappuccinos. And the Sage is, for the most part, easier to use and keep clean. In particular, the performance of the milk wand is far superior to that of the De'Longhi machine and is quick and consistent to use. There are numerous other design features that are better, for example: the water reservoir is easier to remove from the machine and fill and is more clearly marked; the waste tray is much quicker and easier to remove, disassemble, and clean and the level warning float actually works; etc. If it had something like the De'Longhi's "Smart Tamping Station" (which is the only thing I miss), the Sage would be absolutely unbeatable.

Solid piece of kit - makes great coffee with practice!
First bean-to-mug we’ve ever owned - upgrading from capsule machine. Making coffee is undoubtedly much more faff than it was, but the results are excellent and worth the effort. Moderate priced beans work out cheaper than capsules and there’s no hard- to- recycle waste ( the used pucks go on the garden or in the food waste). There are a lot of settings to fiddle with until you can repeatedly produce a great- tasting mug - this is NOT a one button machine ! Built- in grinder and frother both work well ( three months of daily use in). There is a slight gotcha with the portable filter in that it’s possible to leave the plastic doser attached when you transfer the filter, whereupon it jams quite tight - we’ve done this once and got away with it, but its really a bit of a design flaw IMHO ( to be fair, there a big red “ DONT” in the instructions, so I don’t think we’re alone”). Whether you can justify the very substantial cost for better coffee is down to your personal circumstances- it’s not as expensive as some by a long way, and does feel well made. Really nice compact size considering it’s really three appliances in one. You absolutely need a robust knock box, and I’d also recommend a decent mat under the whole thing, as well as something to do the tamping on ( we just use a coaster).
