Birchwood Casey LeatherLock Takedown Deluxe O/U Shotgun - Brown

Decided to replace the cheap plastic case that my Franchi 28 inch 12 ga came in. Found this one on amazon and decided to give it a try. I am very impressed with this case, I don’t think you could do better at twice the price. Only down side is the latches feel cheep but they do lock up tight. As for fit I could not be happier, this case fits like it was made for the Franchi 12 ga. . Check out the fit of the reciver in the photo, the fit is exact with no adjustments or modifications needed.

This is a great gun case - especially for the money. I own Browning cases and the quality of this case is equal to those and at about half the cost. Interior is padded well and has room for everything. Highly recommend you consider this case.

This is a great deal for the price. Looks and feels very sturdy. Shotgun fits wells and has space for accessories and cleaning supplies.

This is a good case; however it has two problems that limit long term utility. I use the case to transport a Beretta Silver Pigeon Sporting Over and Under 12 Gauge, chokes, choke wrench, tokens, a small cloth to the club three times each week for over one year. It rides in the backseat. The case looks good and protects the shotgun; however the locking hardware failed in the first six months. The center locking clasp broke first and then yesterday the pin that connects the carrying handle to the case also broke. For a slightly higher price, with much better hardware, this would be a very good value. I'll either see how much a luggage shop will charge to repair the case, or I'll use it to store another shotgun at home.

Looks great -- several friends at the trap range have the same case and recommended it. Fits my 30" barrel trap gun perfectly. Like many other buyers, I feel that the latches are cheap and flimsy. I would like to have paid a couple dollars more to get better hardware. I plan to shop for better hardware and modify it myself.

I use this case to hold my model 1889 Remington side-by-side with Damascus steel barrels. It fits perfectly and the interior is soft enough that I never have to worry about the firearm being damaged. The latches have individual luggage-style locks on them and the case comes with two keys, but I wouldn't use them and the latches stay shut without issue.

I like this case. It came earlier than expected so I was happy about that. The hinges seem to be fine but I can tell they won't be trusted to hold much weight for long. I will just have to be careful or strap belts around the case. It seemed much better foe the hinges if you do not carry any ammo in the case. I am still unsure how to use the keys that came with the case as I cannot seem to find the keyholes that for them. But this may be an operator error. I am just happy that my O/U has a home that is not a Plano plastic.
