Awesome Toy!
This toy has three "strands" so it divides perfectly for our three blue and golds. The cordage used is good. Not sure why others find the heavy cord to be substandard. I'd rather have good sisal rope or a braided heavy twine than chains. The wood pieces are just right for a powerful B&G. Yes, they can shred the wood, but that's the point, right? As for the cardboard, the squares are just the right size to provide more than just a bite or two when being chewed.I received this toy just a few days ago, and I can already see that I'm going to need more. When I find a toy that "the guys" ALL like, I am a happy camper. All three birds have their own cage, and each one has accepted this toy and they're steadily destroying it.Also, the price is right! It's priced at $24, give or take a few cents. From that, I've gotten three toys, which works out to $8 for each "toy." I figure they'll last at least a few weeks, so it's money well spent in my book.Yes, it's made in China, but I've also checked the cord, the wood and the cardboard carefully, and I neither see nor smell anything "odd." Seems some "corded" toys from China have a rather distinctive odor, often described as something like gas or diesel. I find none of that with this toy. I feel confident in allowing our birds to tear into this toy. I would definitely recommend this for medium to large birds, pretty much any bird from about African Grey sized on up to the BIG birds.Be talkin' to you.....David

Perfect for my African Grey
My bird really enjoys this toy. He has chewed all the cardboard out and has begun to demolish the string holding the toy together. Actually he has chewed the string and cardboard out twice now. My husband reassembles it and inserts new cardboard and the bird is off to the races, again. He ignores other chew toys in his cage but this one is just too tempting.

Change twine to chain
Our African Grey loves this but I wish instead of using the twine to thread the pieces, using a small chain. Kramer goes for the twine at the top and the entire thing goes to the bottom of her cage. I've separated the cluster to using 1 strand at a time... She likes this more than the bulk of the toy. 😀

Not as Large as it says: MisRepresented!
This bird toy is advertised as 10 inches wide and 23 inches long - it's NOT. It barely reaches 21" including the extra rope and C-link at the top. It is 9" wide if you lay all pieces loosely next to each other. The blocks are 2.5" X 1.25". So overall, it is much smaller than envisioned. I hate misrepresentation - just tell us what it is! Be truthful! So in the end, I don't think the smaller toy I received is worth the money I paid. It is OK - he likes to chew up soft blocks and cardboard. But it won't last very long. I'd give 2.5 stars.

Not the same as pictured
Was really disappointed what I recieved had no colors to it at all. Every section was the same dull tan color. At first I thought I must of read the description wrong when I ordered but no it's supposed to be colored with safe food coloring.

Safe toy for macaws!
The large toy has 3 big strands and is huge. This is a nice safe toy for my blue and gold Shicken! She approves!

Bird loved it!
I don’t know about durability or sturdiness, the ropes are still hanging, the rest of the toy is completely shredded! But that’s the point, right? My macaw shreds his tail and flight feathers out of boredom, these toys allow him something to tear apart and his feathers grow back!I just don’t think I can afford to keep buying them because he tears them apart in less than a week!Might be better for a smaller bird, or one that doesn’t shred 24/7?Still, love them!

Nice toy but don't care for twine.
I changed the rope material for strong paper rope. Always worry that twine can get twisted around their foot or neck.
