The Sun Catchers were cute and the grandchildren loved making them. It was difficult opening the paint pens, the tip blends in with the pen. Also the pens are difficult to use, too much paint squeezes out and the pen doesn't do a nice job of spreading it evenly. I believe small paint containers with brushes would be a better application for the craft. Overall rating is based off the number of items and price of the kit. Next time I will buy a kit with small paint containers and brushes.

Fun Christmas Activity
Definitely for elementary-aged kids or older. My 4-year-old enjoyed the activity, but made a horrible mess. Little paint tubes are used to fill in the light catchers and a delicate touch is needed when squeezing them. My kid got a little too into it and got paint all over himself. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to be filled in, which is challenging for younger children, as well. Still, a good time was had, so I’m glad I bought this.

Fun for any age!
This was a really fun kit. It was a gift for a 7 year old and her mother liked it as much as she did. They made some really cute window ornaments. Recommend for an afternoon of entertainment.

BAD KIT, DO NOT BUY!
No instructions, need a brush for paint, it's not all inclusive, paints dry streaky an unclear how to open, a tube "exploded" allover me when trying to open 3 cap system they don't tell you about with result of orange paint all over hair, face, ear, hoody and dress..paint dries streaky aven with brush, and without on how do you color them? Shapes are cute, but bad bargain at $19.99. Any buyer bound to be as disappointed as I am.. waste of money!
