I got it when it was pricey. The build is excellent, german engineering.. It's light weight, takes a bit getting used it. Most straight razors are heavy, so that minimal pressure is needed to shave, this one is light weight so you have to apply the right amount of pressure. If you don't have a steady hand, get ready to bleed. Once you are used to it however it's surprisingly good

First of all, this shavette looks and feels amazing in the hands. The opening and closing feels sturdy and I get the feeling it is very well built. I chose this particular model over the stainless steel, as I had read reviews that the steel was a bit on the heavy side, and I'm glad I did. What is shown in the picture is exactly what you get, plus two black plastic blade holders that slot into the razor (a red holder is preloaded into the razor too and it looks as though they will fit different types of blades), a pack of 100 derby blades, two small blades and two large blades. Note that the small blades only fill about 5/8ths of the plastic holder, but this does not effect the shave in anyway. The only bad thing about this shavette is that the plastic blade holder is very hard to pull out when it's loaded with a razor. Although this also means the blade is very secure while shaving, there is a slight risk of cutting yourself when trying to remove it. Overall fantastic purchase, and a great experience to shave with.

Material fuerte y liviano, lo que permite un agarre seguro y cómodo. La presentación es excelente, el detalle puede ser en qué si no se quita la cuchilla después de usar puede mancharse el plástico que sostiene la cuchilla.

Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto di questo rasoio, qualità dei materiali eccellente, peso equilibrato, forse leggermente più piccolo di come appare in foto ma nel complesso è un ottimo rasoio. Il portalama stringe fortemente la lama che risulta serrata e non si muove minimamente. Consigliato, ma non se si è alle prime armi... io ci ho messo circa una decina di rasature per prenderci la mano e tuttavia ancora qualche minimo taglietto riesco a procurarmelo ma la qualità della rasatura è veramente formidabile. è impossibile poterlo paragonare con un comune rasoio multilama.

"Mann von Welt" wollte sich einmal richtig "cool" rasieren und hat sich nach Systemrasiere und Hobel diesen Artikel ausgesucht. Tolle Verarbeitung, leichtes Gewicht, unkomplizierter und schneller Rasierklingenwechsel (kurze Merkur Super), gutes Handling und Qualität. Nun, für die unausgereifte und ungeübte Technik, kann der Rasierer ja nichts:)) Wie so oft, lag das Ergebnis am Nutzer und nicht am Gegenstand. Das heißt es üben üben... am besten am "nicht lebenden Objekt", bevor man(n) sich selber übel zurichtet.... Nun ja, nach einigen Versuchen hat er es ja hinbekommen und ist stolz wie Oskar...:)
