Okay, let me be honest here: I am NOT YET a tea snob and I am still learning about teas, especially Indian Teas, but I am fairly knowledgeable about Chinese Teas so remember what I am accustomed to while you read my review. The Tea that I ordered came the next day and it came in resealable, lined, paper packaging envelopes which is perfect for tea because it keeps the light out. When I first received this tea I opened one of the black Darjeeling packages and unconsciously compared the colors and leaves to Chinese Teas and made an immediate, and incorrect, judgement that these teas were low quality. I returned the tea to its packaging, tossed them in my pantry, and forgot about them until just the other day. I was looking for some Dancong and upon realizing I had drank all of my beloved Oolong Tea, I decided to try the black Darjeeling tea that I had preciously opened. FANTASTIC! That's what I can say about the black Darjeeling Tea that I brewed. The tea was clean in the mouth, very delicate, slightly floral and sweet, with no unpleasant after taste. I brewed the tea western style in a ceramic pot and added about 3.5 grams of tea to just over 8 ounces of water bringing the temp to right at 200 degrees. I will continue to update this post as I cycle through the rest of the teas.
