My dog is 17 and has poor vision in both eyes. I needed a better solution to her food and water bowls because I was cleaning up spills more and more... and there had to be a better solution. I searched through many options and was surprised at how many food bowls just aren't made well with the actual animal in mind. For example, anything with a lip around the bowl will be tipped over, anything with a gap/space under the bowls... will be tipped over, and anything with thin metal framing (while it looks nice)... will get a dog's dogtag caught in it... and it will tip over. I've had all these messes through the years and things were getting worse. So I needed a food/water bowl set that could remain stationary, didn't have edges/lips on the bowls, and no open space... and this food set match what I needed perfectly. They also say dogs have an easier time seeing 'blue', so I purchased the blue/gray set. The item arrived wrapped in plenty of bubblewrap, but unfortunately that didn't prevent the wood frame from arriving broken... however that happened. It was a clean enough break that I was able to just use some wood glue to fix it. Wasn't worth dealing with an exchange or return and risk something else being broken. The bowls themselves were fine. So far so good with this set... no spills and that's exactly what I needed. If you have a dog with poor vision and wishing for calmer days without spills this set is a great solution. (My '4 of 5' rating is because despite best packaging efforts, the wood base did arrive broken.)

Just what I wanted for Nacho, my 21yr old chihuahua mix. I dropped his original bowl on the hardwood floor. It’s the perfect size. Washes easily in the dishwasher and matches the decor in my kitchen. I even spray painted the wooden stand gloss black to match my appliances. So cute!
