Great idea! I have my kids wear these when they go to a sleep over. Great way to keep the lice away. Ponytail needs to be put up with a regular hair tie, then put this product on only looping like 2 times. It is not strong enough to make a ponytail by itself, It will break if looped that tight. Reminds me of those corded keychains. Great little product.

The first thing I noticed about this set of Lice Repellent Bands is that as soon as I opened the sealed package , the smell was very strong. Which told me that the smell should last awhile.I immediately put these to use, because several times this year, my granddaughters have been battling head lice due to issues at their school. Sadly the school isn't doing much about it. I have tried the lice repelling shampoo and it works,but any additional repellent that I can use I am all for trying. I simply fix their hair in the normal pony tails that I put their hair in and then put these in over the regular hair tie. I like that they come in a variety of cute colors, and nobody needs to really know that is what they are. The smell isn't so strong that it overpowers you , or kids will think they smell bad. In fact, once they have been in their hair for a little bit, you don't even smell it. I have used Tea Tree directly on the girls' hair before and we aren't fond of the smell. But these bands have a different smell to them, much more pleasant. I am happy to say that so far , so good. We haven't had an outbreak in awhile, and I am sure that these are helping to eliminate any new outbreaks. The amount of money I spend on lice treatment is insane, so if these work for a the long run, it would be money well spent! I only wish there was a way to "refresh" them. the smell is too much

Bands stretched too easily and lost scent soon after.

My daughter has only been using them a few days but they seem to b working . She likes them, and she likes how they smell. I will order this product again in the future, I'm happy with my purchase. Shipping was so fast as well.

My girls love these hair ties. They are comfortable and don't pull on the hair. My girls managed to not get any lice from the class infestation. I recommend these together with the fairy tales shampoo and spray.

Made of silicone, this packet of 5 circular stretchy bands can be safely worn by children or adults to treat and remove lice in hair. In white with pink or blue, the stretchy round cord measures 2.5 inches in circumference and 0.25 inches wide. They are deet- and toxic-free, as well as waterproof, and have been soaked in essential oils of rosemary, geranium, tea tree oil, and lemon to ward off lice. Others may think it is geared toward females due to being used as a ponytail hair band.Having received 3 blue/white and 2 pink/white, I wish more color combinations were included. I am unsure if one band lasts the 2-plus months or all 5 do (so 13 days per band).If you are looking for a healthy, non-chemical way to treat head lice for more than 2 months, this 5 hair band packet with extras may be the way to do it.I received this as a gift and am reviewing it freely.
