How do you clean these? I get a caked layer of coffee on the outside edges of the cap and it doesn't come of with water.

Try to let the water run through the opposite way or if your faucet is equipped with a sprayer attachment, I know the sprayer works great for me to remove the grounds out of the lid quickly. Have you tried to use the included brush? The screen lid is designed so grounds do not pass through into your cup of coffee. Also, they are dishwasher safe. Hope you find this information helpful!
