I’m basing my review on a 2 weeks of off-roading and light hiking abroad using the bottle. Overall I’d say this is a great bottle. Packs well, and easy to use when needed. Perfect for flights because you fold it in your bag, and after you pass the security checks you can unfold, fill with water and enjoy. Some reviews mentioned the color or outside coating wearing off, mine was heavily used, holds perfectly well. There a few really small issues I have with it. 1. As mentioned in other reviews, if you like your drink cold, forget about it. The contents temperature becomes room temperature in about 10-15 min, regardless if you have it inside the bag, or outside in the sun. 2. I got the 750ml version, and I think it might be a bit small, since the spout feels somewhat large, so you go through the content really quickly. If you have the room in your bag, get the 1L version. 3. Takes a long while to dry after cleaning. These issues don’t really bother me, and I find myself using this on a day to day basis, so I’d say I’m happy with my purchase.

I've refilled this multiple times and it’s still going strong. I initially soaked it in water overnight to remove the residual smell, and it has no oder . I love the tight, leak-proof seal and the screw-off top that makes refilling a breeze. Highly recommend! The durability is excellent."

I purchased this primarily to use during flights. It was easy to store in my carry on, and I filled it at one of the increasingly available water bottle refill stations at the airport. The only issue there was that the refill station functioned with an electric eye, which didn't recognize the Vapur bottle as being in front of it. So I had to "trick" the refill station by placing a finger over the electric eye, forcing the water flow to commence. The bottle doesn't really have much insulation, but I found that the water remained cool enough to drink during my 5 hour flight. I don't know how well it would do on a hike on a warm day, though. And once empty it is easy to roll up and stash away. My wife carries a traditional aluminum water bottle for flights, and while they have their benefits they are not as easily stored. My one issue is that the bottle isn't as easy to dry after use as the manufacturer suggests. Because of the material and design it tends to collapse on itself toward the bottom as water is consumed, so the interior walls of the bottle often touch one another. I recently used it at home and a week later, despite it sitting in an air conditioned room with low humidity, it still has numerous water droplets inside. I'm not usually a germophobe but I have to assume that bacteria is breeding in those droplets. And the suggestion of drying it by turning it upside down is easier said than done. Again, because of its construction and design it tends to topple over when empty and upside down. So you'll likely need to prop it against something and keep it out of any breezes as it tends to topple when exposed to a breeze since it is so lightweight. I keep trying to open the bottom section to keep the interior walls separated but they naturally tend to collapse with time. Perhaps inserting something such as the handle of a long spoon that might help prop it open would help. I haven't tried hanging it by the carabiner yet. It seems sturdy enough but the bottle, when full, has a bit of heft to it, and the only thing I had walking around was belt loops. I feared it would prove to heavy for them. I suspect hooking it to a backpack would be a better match. All in all I am pleased with the bottle and I plan to take it on my next flight to keep hydrated while on the plane. Update 7-22-16 I think I have found a solution to the bottle drying conundrum. Vapur's website suggests leaving the bottle upside down on a drying mat to dry. Well after about a week and a half my bottle still had a good number of small water droplets clinging to the interior sides. I decided that the problem was that these droplets were so small that their weight was insufficient to cause them to drop to the bottom (or actually the top, since it was resting upside down) of the bottle. So when the only way to eliminate those droplets would be through evaporation. But with the bottle upside down that would never happen (they would simply condense again on the bottle's sides and it would be perpetually wet). So I left it upside down for a while until the larger drops had run out, then flipped it back onto its base. I did blow gently into the opening, which caused the bottle to expand. Then I left it sitting upright and within a day the remaining small droplets had evaporated! With that problem solved I am happier still with this purchase. Let's hope it holds up to repeated uses. So far no sign of any damage, but I've only used it a few times, and I haven't frozen it or run it through the top dishwasher rack... Update 11/10/18 - After losing my first of these I purchased a second about 6 months ago. Sadly it began leaking from the cap on the second use. I discovered this the hard way by setting it down on my seat on a plane to stow my carry- on only to find a puddle in the seat a few seconds later! I don't think I'll be buying a third...

This water bottle has exceeded our expectations. We bought this to have a compact water bottle for when we go to amusement parks. When we first bought it we were unsure of how well it would hold up to repeated rolling. We thought if it only lasted one trip to Universal Studios it would still be worth it to not have to pack a water bottle around wile riding rides. To our great surprise the water bottle has lasted repeated trips to Universal Studios, Disney, and local amusement parks and the bottle is still going strong. It rolls up so compactly and fits in my pocket and does not interfere with me fitting on or comfortably riding rides. Very happy with this purchase.

This is my second bottle from this company. The first one I purchased approximately 20 years ago and only this year did it develop a small leak around the cap where it joins the bottle. I have used this many, many times being able to fold it up in a small compartment in my carry-on luggage or backpack and fill it once I'm through security. This is an incredible value at this price versus throwing no doubt thousands of bottles away when you can just reuse one.

It's very light and very easy to roll up and pack in a carry-on, crossbody, or backpack. The color was exactly like the pic. I chose the purple. It held water and did not leak. I wanted to use it for a full water bottle to take on international flights and for trail walks. When full, the walls of the bottle are flimsy, so it's challenging to hold and drink out of it without overflowing it all over yourself. It's also not very easy to clean while you're away from bottle brushes and other at home conveniences.

This comes in handy ALL the time, especially now that so many places charge $7 for a bottle of water. However, BEWARE: it says it can be washed in the dishwasher, but after two washes of my first bottle, it now permanently tastes like dishwashing detergent no matter how many times I rinse it. The taste is so strong I genuinely can’t use it anymore, at least not without getting headaches and an upset stomach. For context I use Cascade Platinum, in case that’s the actual culprit. I bought another one and I just hand wash it with dawn dish soap and everything has been fine. I love this bottle, just don’t risk potentially ruining it with a bad dishwasher taste! I still rate it 5 stars regardless of this because it’s just so handy.

I will be the first to admit I have extremely high standards and expect the products I purchase to meet them. The Vapur Bottle is no exception. For the product that it is -- I find it to be cleaver and innovative. I love it's compact carry design. I originally purchase these Vapur bottles for my Appalachian Trial Thru-Hike. People that know me will tell you I lean heavily on the OCD side of things. I take very good care of everything I buy and when I'm through with items they usually look brand new. Although, I was in the back country for over seven months I did care for my Vapor bottles. After all it was my lifeline to storing and hauling water. I drink a good deal of water so it's paramount I have containers I trust for my supply of water. Over time the plastic layers began to separate forming visually air bubbles. Around the collar where the softer plastic fuses to the hard plastic where the top fastens developed a leak. Whether this is a design flaw or a manufacture defect is difficult to determine. Since I don't have any testing data to confirm or deny my suspicions. I also considered the various temperature changes and the sun's effect on the product. The sun may have been the largest problematic issue. I did have them attached to my chest for easy access. Given the amount of time I carried them through the grand wilderness and reflecting on everything. I must say the Vapur held its own pretty well. Even though I originally didn't feel that way when I wrote my first review here on them. With this writing I feel it's imperative I correct my review and give the Vapur the justice it deserves. So, why would I be altering my review after three years? That is a very good question I will answer now. I had and extra Vapur 0.7 Liters in Olive Green that I left at home in case I needed it sent to me. On my first flying trip to visit a friend I carried a standard no leak CONTIGO which is very nice. But, when it's empty is a pain to lug around and grab your bags at an airport or anywhere frankly. On future travel I elected to carry the Vapur mentioned in this paragraph. It folds up fitting nicely inside a jacket or pants pocket and attaches easily to the handle a carryon. After going through TSA with the Vapur empty, I approach the first water fountain I see. I unfold, flip the top open and blow air inside to expand the bottle. The looks I get by passer-byers is wonderful. They are literally shock and surprised. Then I place it to the bottle image and watch it fill up. I have had no issues with water tasting differently. Or any strange odors emitting from container. When empty again, roll it up and tuck it away. It has been on four different travels now and used frequently in-between for its convenience. Therefore, my star rating goes from a single star to four stars I want to be fair and transparent to other consumers that may have a valid interest in the Vapur bottle line. I have not been contacted by any party to alter my review, I have not been given any kind of incentive either. I purchased Vapur bottles with my own money. I am not earning anything from this review. I have used these bottles since March 2014 and it's December 2018 presently. I hope you find this review helpful. NOTE: Should you plan to put any staining liquid into any plastic container be sure to put vegetable or some sort of cooking oil in it first. You do not need a lot of oil to coat the interior of a plastic container. Then wash out the oil very well … this will prevent the plastic from staining. No la recomendaría para líquidos calientes porque puede coger olores, pero para agua, refrescos o té frío va perfecto, no deja olor a plástico y puede meterse en la nevera para enfriar. La ventaja que veo es que a medida que la vacias, se va plegando y ocupa menos, así que vas cargando con ella en el bolso o en los pantalones o donde sea, y cuando vas acabando el agua acabas con un rollo que no ocupa nada. También sirve para hacer senderismo de pocas horas y llevarla colgada del mosquetón a alguna trabilla del pantalón, cuando pesa puede resultar incómodo pero al acabarla ni te das cuenta de que está ahí. Otra gran ventaja es que genera menos basura, al reutilizar siempre la misma botella. La recomiendo.
